Aranda can make it passable on defense, but expecting a top 25 defense is ludicrous.
Our defense will be fine. Devin White in the middle and very talented sophomore's on either side of him. Safeties are returning along with a stud corner in Greedy Williams and a very talented Grant Delpit in his second year at safety.
The only legitimate concern on defense is probably DE. Chaisson still looks like an OLB style pass rusher and not an everydown DE.
Offense I simply have no idea. I think our line will be solid, not great. Everything else on offense is a total wildcard.

The problem is that the Bryant formula, conditioning, team-first, discipline, have traditionally been the exact fundamental weaknesses of LSU.
I’ve lived down here for almost 40 years, followedLSU pretty closely. I believe there is something fundamentally unsound about the mental approach at LSU. And from what I’ve seen 0 is just another enabler...because he had/has the same personal flaw. He is not focused except on himself, he is not a team-guy-he is “me first,” he couldn’t discipline himself to not beat up people in bars etc. his whole stick is build around conning people and creating false emotion. Players see or feel this too....
Trouble is, if this is something culturally fundamental to the river parishes of Louisiana (core of team), how do you change it?
