Any guesses on how the rules and guidelines will be laid out in order to make it as fair as possible?

I imagine a scenario where Alabama tells a player they will make a certain amount of money because they project that they can see x amount of their jersey. Well, that's certainly an advantage over, say, UVA where they wouldn't sell as many jerseys, and therefore not make as much money.

Do you think the NCAA will put a cap on the amount a player can make? They may also need to regulate through which avenues they can profit. Are jersey sales okay? What about using their name in a video game? What about being in an advertisement?

There needs to be a lot of regulations for this to work well. I think this won't be implemented for at least another year.

All the small market schools will definitely feel the pain! Imagine you are a 5* recruit deciding between Bama and uni of Washington. But Washington can guarantee you an endorsement with amazon or Starbucks!

Would this mean players can sleep on a coach's couch now?

They can easily put in a value for services test to prevent a booster from paying a player 100k to mow his lawn

Damn, burrow missed out by one season. That guy wouldnhsve definitely had some extra pocket money laying around. Oh well, he will get plenty come draft day.

I feel like they’re going to have to regulate it all to keep lopsided things like this from happening.

What if you had a cap, and you could decide to balance it among the roster evenly?

How do women’s sports get integrated into this? Do they have to get equal opportunities to profit as football/basketball players? Are schools allowed to help players market themselves?

Damn I like to use bottom feeder teams like UMASS or whoever and stay there and recruit good classes and eventually win the NC. Looks like I can do that with Arkansas now.

Wondering if a player could petition for a transfer & immediate eligibility if he feels like his marketability is better at another school.

I don't see how they can. If someone wants to pay freshman Joe Blow 100k for being in a car commercial for their lot, why would that not be allowed?

This is gonna change the balance of power in college football to whoever has the wealthiest alumni. Oregon will have a dynasty now with all of the Nike sponsorships coming.
