Firing someone after a year means you will need to give the next coach a Jimbo sized buyout deal. Well, maybe not that big.

This is smart. 2 reasons, one gives you a head start on picking your replacement, two, it doesn't give Arnette the chance to upset Ole Miss and potentially throwing a wrench in things, especially if you've already decided ZA is not the long term guy.

I don't agree about Sumrall being a risk. That guy has it and is going to be a hell of a coach. Honestly if I'm him I think I'd wait for UK to open up (feels like Stoops will head to Iowa when Ferentz retires). The Wildcats I think would jump on him, and to me that's a better job.
