You've told us 1000 times he's not going to LSU. So what's up?

Louisiana has never been renown for its money management wisdom. Despite a good amount of industry its been a financial shite show for decades. This is yet another example.

For a coach that never won Schitt. Should be interesting. Just think they could have brought Miles back for a fraction of that, and hired a competent offensive coordinator and still had NIL money to spend

I damn sure hope he goes to Florida if that is what LSU wants to pay him. That is absolutely ridiculous.

Don’t forget the $9,000,000 per season buy out for Kelly.

They are going to end up being on the hook for paying most if not all of that $54 million. LSU will end up committing $140,000,000 to $165,000,000 for a 7 year contract with Lane Kiffin.

I personally find it funny as most LSU fans on here have spent years screaming about what a shitty coach Lane Kiffin is. He was barely .500 at Tennessee. He got fired on the tarmac. He was going to destroy the Alabama program. He hasn’t won anything at Ole Miss.

They have spent years screaming about what a shitty person he is. Look how he ditched Tennessee, then Alabama, then FAU. He sleeps around, he is a man whore. His family is trashy. He can’t be trusted. He is a snake.

Now he is about to win the Louisiana lottery.

That I do not disagree with.

I was just laughing at the Bama insider.

The salary is not a factor at all in terms of the decision - every offer will be in line with the others.

Agree but I don’t believe most of these guys are known for their morals or ethics.

People said that when Bowden got a million a year and when Spurrier was the first 2 million dollar coach. They are going to say it for the first 20 million a year coach, and the salaries will keep climbing.

If the money is there, the salaries will keep climbing. Here is an example.

It won’t keep climbing. Economically the impact of constantly higher ticket prices and streaming prices will eventually drive many out of the market

I think Kiffin is a great coach but no head coach is worth that much money, including Kirby who will be making $16,000,001/year if LK takes that deal.

$16,000,000 will buy 1,500,000 17 oz cans of Flex Seal at Walmart. That is 797 tons of Flex Seal. It will take 20 fully loaded semi trucks to deliver it.

That is 5,580 tons of flex seal after seven years. That is enough to turn every screen door in America into a boat.

That should put the enormity of this contract into perspective.

"Batshit insane"? Remember back when LSU signed Saban to at-the-time highest paid amount ever? There was the same uproar across college football that's happening now. The numbers are obviously bigger now but it's the same principal, "no coach is worth that". After Saban's first or second national championship, the University of Alabama announced that the win had resulted in an enrollment increase that more than paid for his salary. If no head coach is worth millions, how can anyone justify paying a starting QB $3M plus a Mercedes?
