As fans... the constant attempt or need to compare teams and players from different years is ridiculous.

2019 LSU receivers to 2019 bama receivers: LSU with the win.

2020 LSU receivers to 2020 bama receivers:
bama with the win.

I think we'll see some trades at the top. Lawrence has been a given at 1st overall for so long that I think people just stopped paying attention.

Yes I did and for a very, very specific reason.

Thank you for participating.

Compare offenses as a unit, the Alabama offense overall was tougher to stop. Alabama could do anything LSU could do throwing it and probably run it better. With a full speed Waddle they were every bit as explosive.

The biggest difference? OL. You could get to Joe Burrow. Mississippi State did. Auburn did. Even Alabama did. But LSU overcame it.

You could not get at Mac Jones with that wall in front of him. And those monsters opened up holes for Najee Harris to run for 26 TD s.

Making your case for Mac Jones?

I'm definitely curious about him, as he might go to the Saints.
You found any plays to highlight him yet?

It's really not even a question much less a debate. The Bama OL was head and shoulders above the LSU OL.

Burrow and CEH made our OL look much better than it was.

2019 Alabama:

Jerry Jeudy
Henry Ruggs
Devonta Smith
Jaylen Waddle

4 first round picks. That was easily the best college WR group I've ever seen.

With a healthy Landon Dickerson at center that likely was the best offensive line as a unit Bama has ever fielded. They had as much to do with the offense clicking like it did as anyone else.

Yeah, it is true. Every year y'all have such a good OL, really a dream scenario for any QB.

People don't realize with Chris Owens back there's three starters returning from the National Championship game on the OLine, there will be another pretty solid unit out there this year.

Theres some real monsters waiting in the wings.

Two of those weren't first round picks in 2019 and probably wouldn't have been... had they entered the draft.

Marshall didn't play in three games due to injury (Utah State, Florida and Mississippi State)
