Seen lots of 1st round talent from Bama not do squat in the NFL, so not sure this is the qualifier you think it is...

Ive been told that Mac was throwing to 4 first round receivers all year so I'll go with Bama

I’ve always said he threw all his TDS to first rounders.

If Harris goes in the first it’s 30/41 to Smith/Waddle/Harris.

Not this BS again.

bama played an all SEC schedule like everyone in the SEC last year. But look at the who...

2019 LSU played #7 UF, #9 AU, #3 bama, #4 UGA(SECCG)... then #4 OU and #3 Clemson. Average ranking of SEC teams played, 5.75
2020 bama played #13 aggies, #3 UGA, #22 AU, #7 UF(SECCG)... then #4 ND and #3 tOSU. Average ranking of SEC teams played, 11.25

Not even close.

LSU's receiving corps in 2019 was better than Bama of 2020 much less it being not even close in Bama's favor.

2020 Alabama had the better overall receiver in Smith but overall the 2019 LSU Corp was better overall, still think it's a better comparison to use the 2019 version for both teams

Let's be "statfully" honest...

2019 LSU top 3
Chase
Jefferson
Marshall
Combined for: 3991yds and 51TDs

2019 bama top 3
Smith
Jeudy
Ruggs
Combined for: 3165yds and 31TDs

2020 bama top 3
Smith
Metchie
Waddle
Combined for: 3363yds and 33TDs

So who had the better top 3 in 2019? And since y'all wanted to compare 2019 LSU to 1020 bama... who's top 3 had better stats?? All numbers point to LSU.

qman91.... I agree. Smith was a beast in 2020, as was Chase in 2019. The difference between them in those years was 76yds and 3TDs.

BOTH should have great NFL careers.

Yeah that was Oklahoma. They don’t beat Alabama without Clyde and I thought he played well against Auburn as well if I remember correctly.

the crazy part is Chase sat out the whole year and Smith killed it and won the Heisman and Chase will still be drafted ahead of him. This tells you the unreal talent on both teams at WR. Two teams in the SEC mind you

And Waddle was unbelievable in just 4 games. He was even better than Smith in many ways. But the overall contingent of LSU receivers was better. Arguably Jefferson was the best of them all, with no hardware to show for it. Look at his NFL stats.

Considering someone was coming off the bench, Alabama's 2018-2019 receiver group is the best I've ever seen just receiver wise.

2020 Alabama offense had better balance and a QB that played smart and stayed healthy.

Of course Joe B isnt overrated. Heck of a player and deserving of the Heisman but the post was a retort to...Bama QBs are so overrated because they have those wide receivers-open by 5 yds but our QB isn't overrated (though LSUs receivers are better..open by 8 yds)
