Well, 2019 LSU was the best college football team of all time and the WR Corps was one of the strengths of the team .... LSU.

But, objectively speaking according to stats, talent, and future pro potential, also LSU.

Hard to pick.

Did 2019 Burrow make his receivers look great or vice-versa?

Did 2020 Jones make his receivers looks great or vice-versa?

I tend to believe that Bama's receivers made Jones look better (although he is very good), so I'll go with Bama.

It's really a coin flip though. Just about all from both teams will play well on Sundays....

There's no argument that our 2020 receivers were better than LSU 2019 - especially after the Waddle injury, which was the entire 2nd half of the seasons including the SECCG and playoffs.

Smith - 1st round
Metchie - top 2-3 rounds
Bolden - UDFA

Chase - 1st round
Jefferson - 1st round
Marshall - 1st/2nd round

You think three potential 1st rounders didn't make their QB look better than a single 1st rounder, a mid-round pick and a guy who will likely never play a snap at the next level?

Seriously?

And the crazy part is Chase sat out the whole year and Smith killed it and won the Heisman and Chase will still be drafted ahead of him.

Ja'Marr Chest is a fine player.

Oh wait, there's no Chest in Chase.

My bad.

How? Slade Bolden was our #3 receiver? DeVonta was otherworldly but once Waddle went down our receiving corp was adequate but far from elite. It was the best WR in college football, a very good college WR, and an ok slot guy who won't play in the NFL.

LSU's 2019 team was 3 Top 50 picks. Comparing our 2019 WR group vs LSU's 2019 WR group, sure. But our 2020 group was not in the same league, especially once Waddle got hurt.

He is saying 2019 LSU's WR corps is so much better than 2020 Alabama's that one can't argue the two.

Dumbass.

Screw the stats —2019 LSU caught more contested balls against defenders. Fact.

No you dumbass... as I said in this thread, 2019 LSU was better, 2020 bama.was better. I'm some dumbass gump that feel the need to compare a 2019 group to a 2020 group.

The same 2019 LSU Corp wouldn't have been as good in 2020 because... different QB, different Oline and I'll say it, the lack of Brady influence.

Gotta love the LSU contradiction they put themselves in.

According to them, when talking pro potential Mac was gifted the greatest weapons of all time therefore he’s not good like Burrow.

But then in these comparisons, they pick LSU as having the better WRs.

So Burrow can be individually good WHILE having a better group of amazing WRs but the same doesn’t apply to Mac.

fricking clowns.
