Roger Clemens and Derek Carr both went to high schools in my district. Probably the best athlete that graduated from my district would have to be Thurman Thomas. Best player to go to Arkansas would have to be Knile Davis.

Wade Miley was in the same parish, but lower class.

While I was playing, either Chris Keyes, Daniel Francis, or Marvin White. All from Port Barre, but I think Keyes transferred to a HS in Alabama before signing with Alabama.

Patterson HS was in my district my freshman and sophomore years, but this was well before they had guys like Kenny Hilliard and the other 19 guys since him that have signed D1.

My high school class produced two 1st rounders and one second, all three of which I am good friends with to this day. One of them actually transferred, so technically not part of the same high school. He transferred after sophomore year to the local catholic school

Probably Ed Reed out of Destrehan. LaRon Landry went to Hahnville, but his NFL career wasn't quite what Ed Reed's was. I went to East St. John and I would say the best player out of ESJ in high school was Ryan Perrilloux. If you're looking at entire career, college and pro, you'd probably have to go with either Louis Lipps or AJ Duhe (who went to the predecessor school, Leon Godchaux, before it burned down). Of course, Kirston Pittman from ESJ was one of only two (I believe) that was on LSU's roster for both the 2003 and 2007 national championships which is a pretty amazing accomplishment.

Shout out to Slidell

Chris Duhon, Xavier Paul, and Mike fontenot also came from the dell.

When I was in school: Andrew Guillot (football: La Tech), Chris Faulk (football: LSU), and a ton of really good baseball players who went on to college

I played with a top 10 pick in the NFL draft...but he was an OL and wasn't the best player out of my district. The best I played against was either Reggie Cobb or Brent Collins. The best current player in my school's district is probably Tee Higgins.

Elkins had a damn dynasty.

Matt Carpenter, James Loney, Chad Huffman, & Kip Wells all made it to the bigs and they all went to Elkins in the 00s (maybe not Kip, he was older). They ended up with back to back state titles and were named national champs at least once.

Dabo Sweeny I would say has had the most success since high school.

Tyler Watts, Lane Bearden, and Bill Flowers all had their highlights at their respective schools

Montez Billings (auburn WR), grew up with kid and was pumped for him to get the scholly to auburn. especially knowing how rough of a background he came from. Had minor success in Canadian ball if i remember correctly after short stints on NFL practice squads.
