Pronably the most famous was Charlie Ward b/c of his Heisman & NC. But of course Charlie went pro b-ball instead.

For some time, William Andrews held the record for most offensive production in a 5 year period in the NFL. I imagine it's been topped my now. My HS field was named after him. His name probably won't mean much to anyone under Early 40s

Heck I'm sure I'm missing some big names given Georgia Region 1 but I've been gone for over 25 years. These are just 2 from my home town.

Edit : bit off topic but HCs Mike Bobo & Kirby Smart , too

My high school was all about the baseball and had Sutton, Fryman and Bell. Then the same town had football players like Smith (when I was in elementary) and Baldwin and Richardson, more lately. Is a boxer a player? A guy named Roy Jones went to a Pensacola high school too.

Yeah, his older brother coached my brother some in high-school. IIRC, he's in the Atlanta Braves organization. But yeah, he was a few years younger but I played him in high-school as well.

I was pretty good friends with the Aldridge twins.

Tuskegee if I remember. His brother, Kevin, is the QB there. I never really knew Kendall, so I have no idea what he's doing now.

All made it too the MLB, NBA, or NFL except two. Not to bad for a small county of 37k population.

Nevermind. I didn't realize it was that small. My bad.
