The OP said best fight songs. Rocky Top is not a fight song. It's a country song that was written about Tennessee.
Nothing to do with the university.

Always preferred the "Missouri Waltz" myself.

Then any school with Glory Glory should also be held to that standard

Hail State was written by Mutt Peavey (Hartley Peavey’s Dad.) Hartley was the founder of Peavey Electronics and both he and his Dad were State grads.
It was an original score and is a cool fight song.

The dude wrote the song while in a trench in France in WW1, on the back of a letter from home. Reminiscing about his school, thinking he might never see it again.
From wikipedia:
J.V. "Pinky" Wilson....
He wrote the lyrics in 1918 on the back of a letter from home while holed up in a trench during a battle in France.
That's not ghey!

Always thought Fight Tiger and Every True Son ( rip off of Long Way to Tipperary) were among the best. Dont care for the chopped up version of Missouri Waltz though

Oklahoma is the same Song. Over and Over.
Worst fight song in the country, by a very wide margin.

The strange thing is that LSU adopted Tiger Rag as as their fight song in 1926. So they had a fight song written by a group of Black dudes in 1926... but wouldn't allow a Black player on their team for another 45 years.
FAKE NEWS
quote:
"Fight for LSU" is the official fight song of Louisiana State University, composed in the late 1930s by Castro Carazo, the university's band director from 1934 to 1940, with lyrics by W.G. "Hickey" Higginbotham, an LSU swimming coach.[2][3] Carazo, a Costa Rican-born musician and jazz bandleader, was recruited to lead the LSU Tiger Marching Band by Louisiana Governor Huey P. Long during a 1934 performance at the Blue Room of the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans; Long, an LSU alumnus and fervent supporter of the university's athletics, appointed him bandmaster to elevate the band's profile and integrate it more prominently into campus traditions
Moral of the story: Don't get you news and fake facts from a pathetic liberal.

You’re right that it’s not ghey at all from a historical perspective. But the music sounds like a frickin flute parade. I also think ours is highly underrated:
Hit that line
Hit that line
Keep on going
Move that ball right down the field
Give a cheer, rah, rah!
Never fear, rah, rah!
Arkansas will never yield
On your toes, Razorbacks, to the finish
Carry on with?all?your?might
For it's A-R-K-A-N-S-A-S?for Arkansas
Fight, fight,?fight!
Think ours is overlooked a lot and sometimes K.I.S.S. does apply to things in life. Sadly, we’ve yielded a lot recently, lol

No, there is nothing cool about the weird Nazi era propaganda polka/carousel at the fair music that your band plays.

Is it not “Hey, Fighting’ Tigers”?

Spare me...
LSU does Tiger Rage after every touchdown... and that started in 1926... Way before anybody wrote your "official" fight song.
And it certanily isn't the fault of liberals that you guys didn't integrate until the 1970s.
Unless of course you want to claim that your granddaddies and great granddaddies were all liberals.

Not the SEC and not their fight song but Notre Dame beats all.
Hail to the Victors is just as good, And while it's not a fight song, the USC band doing Tusk is still one of the coolest performances by a band in the country. Especially when they did it with Fleetwood Mac and Radiohead.
