Farmers where I am from have started hiring white South Africans. They are reliable, know what they are doing, and are easier to understand than many native born farm workers.

The Exorcist case from 1949 was a Protestant boy. Blatty changed it to a Catholic girl.
Yes, I knew that. The boy was a Luthern from Maryland but the exorcism was performed by Catholic priests in a St. Louis, Missouri, hospital - Christian Brothers IIRC. Until the building was torn down no one would enter that room.

There are two exorcists in the Diocese of Springfield - Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and one of them is my parish priest. He told me that 98% of the calls he receives are from Protestants.

Here is a cheap place to live that she can move to. "Diversity" took it from a population of 15,000 in 1920, to a population of 1,700 in the latest census. What was once the economic hub of Southern Illinois, Southeast Missouri, and Western Kentucky is now a virtual ghost town.

I don't know about the Bonnet Carre Spillway but it well could be. It is for the Birds Point - New Madrid Floodway in Mississippi County, Missouri.

The United Methodist Church is a joke from top to bottom and has been since 1968, when the Methodist Church merged with the Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Some United Methodists recently bolted to the new Global Methodist Church based solely on the issue of homosexual marriage. Neither one matters. The could both cease to exist and it would be six months before anyone even noticed.
Ditching the ridiculous United Methodist Church is one of the few things I have done in my life that I know with absolute certainty was the right thing to do.

re: What was the strangest thing you saw at Easter mass today?
Posted by MISSOURI WALTZ on 4/20/25 at 9:37 pm
The lady in front of me was wearing a mantilla. I think mantillas are really classy and hers was the only one at mass. I know her and she is very nice. She is originally from Marksville.

Allen Edmonds. They are very expensive but will last you literally for the rest of your life.

My son played soccer for his Catholic high school. They went to St. Louis to play another Catholic school that had been taken over by Bosnians. There are more Bosnians in St. Louis than anywhere outside of Bosnia. One of the Bosnian mothers was arrested for throwing a beer bottle at a referee.

Once. An infection turned into sepsis. I had a tube running to my heart pumping me with antibiotics. Also got a blood transfusion. I knew that I was close to my final reward but really did not care. I received extreme unction from an African priest in a Baptist hospital. That was four years ago. I've gained 60 pounds since then.

WRONG.

The Mississippi is gonna flow backwards baw
During the earthquakes of 1811 to 1812, the Mississippi River never flowed backwards. The river merely rippled outward from the epicenter like what happens when someone tosses a rock into a pond. For the Mississippi to flow northward is a physical impossibility.

Bingo! For years many people said that girls who are good enough should be allowed to play sports with boys. My response was what about the boys who are not good enough; should they be allowed to play sports with girls?
I do not like males participating in female sports. But on the other hand I do not feel sorry for the girls.
Edited for spelling.

I try to be a good Catholic. In fact I missed almost the entire first half of the Lady Tigers because I was at confession. I had plenty to talk about.
No one understands the Holy Trinity; not even the Pope. There are some things you have to accept on faith alone.
