the sec dominance had already begun. we just were forced to wait until 06 florida to blast OSU. if that game was never played noone would have believed florida would have won or especially destroyed them. i think the sec dominance was in force in 2004. i believe auburn would have won which is a change on my view 10 years ago. those backs were great

People talk about how USC would have dog walked us but two of our running backs and our qb went in the first round.

Damn shame fate kept us from seeing that game.

And we had the best scoring defense in the country. We allowed 11.3 points per game in 2004.

Would love to have seen that game happen.

That USC team was really good so I'm not sure we would have won but we wouldn't have been embarrassed like a certain team

You’re high, usc had a way better coaching staff and more talent. Several journeymen nfl vets were career backups under Carrolls teams. I don’t think cassel played a snap at qb.

You’ll never convince me Auburn wouldn’t have won with that two headed monster at RB. The defense was also stout AF.

My bitterness runs deep.

To this day I still despise Kirk Herbstreit, Bob Stoops, Pete Carroll, ESPN, Bowling Green, the Citidel, preseason rankings, Oklahoma, USC, Mike Stoops, Will Farrell, private Top 25 ballots, etc.

Auburn was more battle-tested, having played (and beaten) more top-10 teams than USC and OU combined.

The “auburn 2004 natty” bullshite is nothing but revisionist history and wishcasting by auburn fans and the “rah rah sec sec” retards. Auburn was never in the discussion and for good reason, USC and OU were clearly better teams from start to finish that year

You are aware Adrian Peterson played in that game, right?

Auburn vs USC would have been a great game. Especially, after what happened in 2003 after they played in Auburn.

That team was quite a bit better than our 2010 NC team.

It’s funny the change that came from going from Nall-ball to Borges.

I remember a certain game in 2007 that Ohio State was absolutely certain to win. UF pushed that supposedly indestructible OSU’s shite in.

Can’t play the games on paper.
