i don't know about my fellow LSU fans, but the tenn-bama rivalry affects my life on a daily basis.

in fact, i can't remember the last time a full 24 hour period passed where this wasn't the primary topic of college football discussion for us.

I think it's a combination of the both. They really only bitch about the cross division schedules when: UF is having a good season/team and the game is at UF. When their other East team is decent or projected to be decent/good/great.

PLUS when Bama's schedule does not include one of the better East teams UF/UGA/USC(when they are good- which is rarely) and UT is on a down cycle(won't last forever).

LSU fans are worn out, put up wet pussies about these schedules. it's pretty damn sad how far they have fallen, as a fan base, after the beatdown at the dome and the loss to UF.

Times are different. Much more competition in the SEC now.

There's another argument that was used against Alabama before we hired Saban. These arguments are weak. Tennessee can come back if they hire the right guy.

FOR NOW. What the hell makes you think that this suckage Tennessee is going through right now will last forever? You LSU fans are some of the most short-sighted pricks I have ever come across

What do you mean for now? How long before Tennessee is good again?? 5/10 years? We change the SEC scheduling format every 5 years or so anyway. I love how Bama fans keep saying, "But UGA and Florida will rotate back on our schedule in the future." You just had them on your schedule for this year and the Birmingham Office took them off. They had a chance to put the game back on next year, but they added Kentucky instead. When is Bama going to play UGA or Florida again, 2020?

Alabama was not in the same realm of terrible that Tennessee currently is at that time.

They lack a natural recruiting base, yes, but you forget that they have ALWAYS lacked a natural recruiting base and yet still managed to be successful.
Right, and they aren't going to get the steady stream of recruits that they used to get. There are many more great programs in college football now. This year's senior class were toddler's the last time Tennessee did anything of note. That's only going to get more accentuated.

Kiffin proved that Tennessee can still pull in elite talent.

How did that elite talent work out?

With the exception of '07, Alabama has played Florida every year since 2005. If we win the West we will more than likely play them again in Atlanta.

I wish we could play Tennessee's sorry arse every year so we'd get an automatic win.

Are LSU fans more

Let's be clear about this... Not ALL LSU fans give a shite about the schedule. Most of us have a clear understanding of what it means to play in the SEC - win all your games, play for an SEC championship. Win that game - play for a National Championship. At the risk of sounding like Les Miles - most LSU fans understand that the most important game is the next one on the schedule.

As for the all-important, world peace making, physics breaking, history making importance of the Tenn-Bama rivalry, I would say that most of LSU fans and anyone that isn't a Bama or Tenn fan, puts as much thought into that game as they do their last bowel movement.

On a more personal level, I prefer the LSU versus UF, Bama, Auburn, and on a small degree, the ARKie games - because I know those teams will more often than not be very enjoyable games - win or lose.

Most of us are not conspiracy theorist. So, when you start making threads of "Are LSU fans...", please make sure to define it as, "Are the LSU fans that are complaining, whining, bitching and moaning, or whatever..." because, we may all smell like corn dogs, but we don't all think alike.

That is all. And yes, I know for many on this site: TL; DR.

You've played in the Swamp a total of 2 times in 13 years with no plans to go back anytime soon.

Let me ask you something. After Hallman and to the end of the Dinardo era, do you honestly think people saw LSU as a threat 5/10 years down the road?? Tennessee is bad right now, but they weren't anyway NEAR the suckage that was your program in that decade. It took a good hire to get you to being relevant. You look at the top 6-8 programs in this conference...each and every one of them is one bad hire or one good hire away from competing for a national championship or going into a 5 year slump. Simple as that.

Take out that 10-win anomaly of 2005 and both programs are pretty comparable. From 2003-2007 that was the only season where we finished above .500 in the regular season.

What makes you so sure that they can't get the steady stream of elite talent? Kiffin was doing it as recently as 2009. Put in the right coach with the right amount if discipline and those recruits more than likely pan out and do well.

And, you forget, in 2007 the senior classes coming out of high school were likewise toddlers the last time Alabama did anything of note. I fail to see a difference.

College football is very fluid. What's true one year will not always be true the next.

But you only played them in the regular season 4 of the 9 years between 2005-2013. The SEC championship game doesn't count. If LSU didn't have Florida on the 2006 regular season schedule, we would have met them in Atlanta and had a great shot at beating them and making the National Championship game that year.

But seriously, the 2013 schedule is ATROCIOUS! UT, UK????? GTFO!

Man there is a lot of Tenn, Bama, and UF fans talking about LSU in this thread.

The SEC's obsession with LSU is awesome.....don't worry we are coming guys. Florida we let you have one but wait until Atl. Until then keep obsessing.

And had there not been an SEC Championship in place we would have played for the national championship in 1994 and 2008, with the chance of going back to back in 2008 and 2009. Boo-freaking-hoo.

Not sure why they hate the TSIO so much.

They want to play Vandy and Kentucky more often. The guaranteed loss that A&M gives them every year means they need all the help they can get.
