the other crazy part (to me) without fully researching it is the fact that we also supposedly had the tech and ability to broadcast it live to televisions across the world (they claim 650 million people watched it)

it’s sad, you see this play out at the macro level here and with Hamas vs Israel…and even here at a micro level with criminals vs law enforcement
when the other side are terrorists and criminals and you allow them to literally get away with murder, but then villainize response back, break down every decision down to the millisecond and armchair quarterback every move, and allow those on the front lines to be overcharged you lose all societal and institutional trust
it’s not that mistakes aren’t made in war or on the streets with law enforcement, but we’ve just gone way overboard in protection of terrorists and criminals who weapons and use our own standard against us and you have sympathetic media who buy into it and politicians who use it for political purposes
I mean it’s been 56 years and we now have AI and supercomputers and unlimited tech, money and knowledge and this crew still deals with broken toilets and other issues and the other lunar lander couldn’t even land upright

in road games as a first baseman you have to have thick skin already due to fan proximity …then add being very obviously overweight makes you an easy target
but then also not producing at the plate and committing errors? woof i imagine it’s brutal down there…he needs to sit and get his head and body right

Vasquez has been a nice early season surprise
