I won’t be shocked if a terminal diagnosis comes up as a motivating factor.

As best I can tell, the leak is somewhere beneath the actual reservoir. I’m not sure whether the reservoir itself is cracked or if there’s some sort of connection down there that is broken.
In any event, many thanks for all of the recommendations, folks! I was expecting more trolling, but there are some very good replies in this thread that are much appreciated!
Baton Rouge Audi Owners

OT Lounge, I’m in Baton Rouge and need to get my 2013 Audi repaired, but the dealership’s service department claims to be backed up and “may not be able to check my car for 4 to 5 days” after I drop it off with them.
Anyone have a recommendation for an independent Audi mechanic/shop? My radiator is leaking, so I need to get it repaired as soon as possible and don’t know which other mechanics/shops are trustworthy and reliable.

Doubtful. T8&4’s starting QB is transferring out after a season in which they beat bama, probably because Jimbo likes their younger QB more. I hate it for Max, but he may never play another meaningful down if he goes there. I don’t understand why he’d make that decision, but maybe he doesn’t want to be a starter anymore? I dunno.

Maybe there needs to be an NIL oversight committee that has the authority to deny/void an NIL contract. All NIL deals must be submitted to them. Biggest issue is that that organization would get corrupted in a heartbeat.
Maybe we could call it something like “compliance,” which every athletic department has had for DECADES.

Damn i didn't realize people on here hated the free market so much
While I don’t agree with the OP’s ask, hiding information about income has nothing to do with “free market.” In fact, it’s anti-competitive, which is the literal opposite of free-market competition.
Why talk shite about something that you obviously don’t even have a basic understanding of?

Les staying had more to do with JBE than anybody else.
The message from JBE, as governor elect, was do not pay $20MM in a buyout and then come to the legislature for more $$. The two are unrelated, but JBE did not like the look.
People try to pin this on Jindal, but Jindal was done. His term was up in Jan 2016, so he had very little power in Nov 2015, it was the Edward administration that F. King was trying to keep happy.
This is the most retarded, overreaching take I’ve ever seen on the Rant. And according to literally *everyone* I’ve ever heard, Jindal personally intervened to keep Alleva from firing Les. The timeline doesn’t even make sense — the idea that a governor-elect had the authority to intervene in a coach’s firing 7 days after his runoff election when Miles’ firing had been speculated and in talks for weeks before is completely asinine. You should be embarrassed that you thought this, much less wrote and published it.

This thread is pathetic. He’s gonna live and die by the product he puts on the field, which is obviously not good enough. End of discussion.

The guy is a sophomore majoring in interdisciplinary studies, right? What exactly are "required" classes at this stage? Did he fail to take a required freshman class or remedial class?
Interdisciplinary/gen studies degrees have core requirements. In the past, gen studies required 3 minors (instead of a major), and each minor has its own set of requirements. For some departments, the list and sequence of requirements can be very particular and sometimes vague. The only way to know what to do is to be advised or to study each minor’s section in the general catalogue and then do your own self-audit without making any mistakes.
Think about it: Do you think interdisciplinary studies just gives students carte blanche to take a bunch of random, disparate, unrelated classes? There has to be a degree plan.
And the reason the school cannot confirm or deny anything about academics is because of the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA), which is an act of Congress that makes it illegal for a school employee to disclose any information that is not deemed “public.” Believe it or not, one driving reason behind FERPA is to prevent some of the huge number of past stalking issues — creep show stalkers, significant others, and even estranged family members used to do social engineering to figure out where their target would be at a given time (at a class or dorm) so they could confront/intercept the student there.

And it's certainly possible that he took a course that he passed but didn't bring himself closer to what he needed to get to 40%.
This is very plausible. Another possibility is that he took a class not knowing it was cross-listed for another class he’s already taken. That happened to me: an adviser suggested and registered me for the class, then I didn’t find out that it didn’t count toward my hours earned until after the semester when I was notified that I lost TOPS because it dropped me below full-time for that semester.
Ultimately, it’s the student’s responsibility, but it happens and sucks when it does.

Pills make life worse too. It's a miserable thing.
I’m not entirely sure I’d assume he’s taking tons of pain killers.
I’m not very old, but have multiple herniated discs that are ejecting disc material into the space between my vertebrae and the spinal canal. Mine are in my lower back, so the pain radiates down my legs.
When it first happened, the pain was so severe — I describe it as feeling like someone is trying to pull the nerves out of my leg like a robin pulls a worm out of an apple. I got a three shots in the ER, one was some sort of painkiller, and three prescriptions, one of which was a painkiller. They gave me zero relief. I just take NSAIDs because nothing else has any effect. My pain tolerance is pretty high — I’ve broken bones and dislocated at multiple joints and gotten staples and stitches and everything else without much problem — but the sort of pain I’ve felt from discs putting the squeeze on the nerves running out from my spinal cord is totally unique, like nothing I’ve ever felt before.
Cut PM a little slack. What he’s going through may be disabling for a lot of other people, and there might not be any “pills” involved.

I have a theory that, I think, fits the circumstances. As my username suggests, I don’t care if anyone wants to troll my post, but I wonder if anyone agrees or disagrees with the scenario I laid out. Here’s the link, it’s on page 26 of the anchored thread: LINK.

Basically Jordy thought he was bigger than the team. That’s all it is to it.
This is the correct answer. I’ve seen it many times in radio and tv.
Think about how willing Jordy was to accuse Dale Brown based on an apparently false rumor, how he’d call out J’s school system for closing due to light rain, how he was willing to shout down Dick (who’s a pretty big celebrity in this world), etc. Part of what made Jordy great was his fearlessness, but that fearlessness is also probably what led to the sudden, immediate departure. If he were trying to rile up all the on-air to demand a raise or refuse a pay cut, he did so knowing that: 1) he has the head FB coach, the head BB coach, the heisman winner’s family, the head coach of ULL, the LHSAA, the most famous name in college BB (Dick V), the father of LSU’s all-American sophomore CB, the director of the Senior Bowl, and many other big time “gets” in his back pocket; 2) Jordy was one of the top salesmen at Guarantee, having developed close relationships with the most major advertisers, as well as a handful more who are on a wait list to become title sponsors of the show; 3) he’s universally liked by his colleagues, on-air and off, and has friends in many other outlets (barstool, ESPN Bristol, SEC network, various recruiting services, the sportscasters at the other in-town stations, as well as the weather men/women and the other anchors, and many others I’m not immediately thinking of); 4) he is very, very well connected around town; and 5) he may be the most popular host at 104.5.
So combine his value as a booker, as on-air talent, as a salesman, and as an all-around well-connected guy with his willingness to go up against ANYONE. The resulting conversation could’ve gone something like this:
Management: Jordy, we’ve become aware that you’re trying to effectively unionize the other hosts to squeeze us for more money. Stop it or you’re gone.
Jordy: “...Or I’m gone?” Do you know who you’re talking to? I’m the kingmaker. I get the guests, the sales, the clicks, the downloads...You get rid of me and this ship is gonna sink.
Management: you think you’re bigger than the radio station? We made you and we can replace you. We get rid of you and we can replace you with some guy off the street.
Jordy: Do it then! Fire me and see what happens. I’ll take the audience and the sponsors with me.
Management: You’re out. Pack your shite and get out of the building right now.
Jordy: Great! I can’t wait to watch you crash and burn. You’ll be begging me to come back. Go frick yourselves.
I know that conversation is hypothetical and dramatized, but I’d bet that is exactly how it went down. He tried to lead a union-style mutiny and forced their hand. I seriously doubt they wanted it to play out like that, but Jordy’s weight backed them into a corner.
I don’t say any of that to the detriment of Jordy. If he acted that way, that’s exactly what I like so much about him. It’s the same situation that Howard Stern caused over and over again, resulting in his being fired over and over again. Same sort of circumstances.
I love T-Bob and I’m still riding with him, but I’m gonna ride with Jordy wherever he goes next. I’m a big fan of OTB and Jordy has always been great the little I’ve interacted with him. Mornings won’t be the same, and I’d love it if everybody made up, but he’s a legit star and will find something else that’ll probably be more lucrative very quickly.
The end of a golden era of Baton Rouge sports talk radio.

I don’t really give a shite about protecting Guice’s privacy at this point, but I do question whether this sets a good precedent.
My understanding is that LSUPD are technically operate under the mandate of Louisiana State Police. Therefore, it would seem to me that they should be required to follow the same criteria for releasing police reports to the victims as state police. If they didn’t and were unduly influenced by the university, no matter who pays them, then that’s a huge fricking problem.
The university is bound by FERPA to protect student records. It is none of the university’s business to affect police/criminal procedures.

Woodward is positioning himself to be the Lsu system president and wants to be viewed as The guy who cleaned up the athletic department.
I’m not disputing whether this is the perception from the athletic department point-of-view, but this will not happen.
To be a Chancellor, university president, university system president, the candidate is expected to be a tenured faculty member, which also requires holding a terminal degree (PhD, JD, or MD, though the latter two are much less common outside of law schools and med schools). People may not remember, but there was damn near a campus mutiny when Sean O’Keefe became the chancellor because, although he had a PhD and was the goddamn administrator of NASA, he was not previously tenured.
I’m not anti-Woodward or anything, but I think this is nothing more than a foolish pipe dream, if true. If it’s not and it actually comes to pass, LSU would become a lightning rod for criticism (both inside and outside LSU/Louisiana), a laughing stock amongst all colleges and universities (including community colleges), and it would wholly devalue every LSU degree, past and future, no matter how good a job he does.
Woodward has literally reached the ceiling of the collegiate athletic administration field. There is no higher position he can hold at LSU unless he completes a PhD and receives a tenured faculty position.
I’m editing to add that he undoubtedly knows this and, if so, that to me says he is a raging egomaniac, which gravely concerns me.

Why do all LSU fans feel like they know the Davinci-Code secrets of bama?
They cheat, pay HS recruits in dodge chargers, pay current players in stacks of banded $100 bills, get their players out of felonies, don’t drug test, hire coaches from opponents to milk them for the other team’s secrets and tendencies, practice their players against NFL players, spend the equivalent of Ireland’s GDP on postage for sending Kamara 100 letters every day, spend the GDP of the UK on their shadow staff, have populated the conference offices with loyal fans, the officiating crews live less than 30 minutes away from campus (at least, there are many who do), and have an ego maniac who nearly strokes out if they jump offsides in a game when already winning by 30 points.
Wait, maybe that is bama’s Davinci code...
