LB without Kobe directing everyone is a big question mark to me.
Nolan Smith was the clubhouse leader for the linebackers. Prior to the Clemson game, ESPN did a piece and all of them pointed to Nolan as the man that they all listened to.
I'm not worried about replacing presnap reads at linebacker. Do the backers fit properly? Quay and Channing were still considered "inconsistent" heading into the 2021 season overrunning plays. The speed of the game can take a lot of reps before guys are cleaning up near 100% like we were last season.

As for as Safety, we have the Smiths we have Jackson. That’s it. Anyone gets hurt and it’s a rookie/inexperienced guy starting.
We have William Poole who played great in the NCG. He can play nickel and we roll tykee up to safety. Or tykee can play nickel and we have Poole available for safety.
That essentially will be our dime package (Chris Smith and Dan Jackson up top with Tykee and Poole cover the nickel and money).

Many other SEC quarterbacks have an advantage statistically over Hooker...they get to play against UT's defense. He doesn't.
And Bennett went on to be the MVP of the Orange Bowl (playoff semi) and MVP of the National Championship game....but you guy insist he is garbage and we cannot win with him. Seems like an odd take since we won a championship with him already.
I am not saying Hooker is bad. I think he's good. My push back is on the Vol narrative that Bennett is not a decent QB.

They won't be as good as last year, but they'll still win the SEC East. They'll then lose to Alabama in the SEC Championship game.

And yet in the last 22 years we have managed to be 16-6 against Tennessee. Imagine. What program is Tennessee, really?
How many positions is Tennessee away? My guess is 11. All defense. Tell. A program as proud as Tennessee was for years. What's y'alls excuse?
Youth?
Coaching?
a player away?
insert excuse here
You want to talk about losing games you don't expect to lose?
2021 Purdue
2020 Kentucky
2019 Georgia State, BYU
2018 South Carolina, Missouri, Vanderbilt
2017 South Carolina, Missouri, Vanderbilt
2016 South carolina, Vanderbilt

This would be my guess. And we would still be the second best team in the SEC and possibly make the playoffs.

In the east? No.
Florida and Tennessee have to stop sucking.
The red carpet has been rolled out for a decade for UGA.

Are we going to pretend like O was ever actually coaching to begin with?

Better chance that UGA loses to State than loses 3 reg season games.
They may be a 3 TD favorite in every game prior to the SECC.

It’s like UGA fans have forgotten being “young”, “a position away”, “insert excuse here” for a decade. Always losing a game they didn’t expect to, finding a way to be the more talented team but not the best team. You know, the program they really are.
This version of UGA still kicks UT’s teeth in.

I don't think they repeat but you're talking 4 losses. I don't see that.

You epitomize a Tennessee fan. Someone who know absolutely nothing about football because they never played the game and just watched a few games on the tv and went to Walmart and bought a shirt and some mustard on their way to Golden Corral for their trough feeding. You lost to BYU and GA State at home. And Purdue says hello.

Short answer is no. The only thing that could stop a Georgia, Alabama rematch in the championship game would be Arkansas upsetting Bama. And that's not really likely but better odds of that happening than anyone other than Georgia winning the east.

To an 8-4 type season this fall ala LSU after their championship?

Wasn't Kelly doing the dancing thing with recruits?

Damn right you’re not.
LSU is 6-4 h2h and 3-1 in Natty count in the 21st century.

National Champions. That's the program Georgia really is.
Music City Bowl runner-ups. That's the program Tennessee really is.
