One thing they have proven is that A&M is a lot of whiny people.

I agree. But lets’s not act like Aggie wasn’t all Big12 and constantly talking crap about the SEC before we sent them a lifeline.

Texass fans should love the move to the SEC. bringing some real excitement to the games at DKR. How fired up could the fan bas get for a game vs TCU, Kansas, Baylor, etc…

Horn fans ready to suck up the bad optics and get on down the road. I would be the same. When A&M, Arkansas, LSU, etc consistently come to town none of the B12 will be remembered or cared about.

Season ticket holders will be buying tickets to go to games, not just to hold onto their seat locations. Stubhub in Austin about to see a sharp drop off in ticket sakes by Texass fans.

NIL changed everything, and nullified the effect of your bagmen.

Look, we are taking over. Sit back & enjoy it.

You will arrange your divisions/pods as we say. The TV schedule will be what we say.

Most importantly, I am just glad we found a conference where taunting with an opponent's hand sign is a penalty:

One thing that hasn't been discussed here much is how the Texas fan base views this move. I am assuming the overwhelming majority of you feel it is a good thing? Probably even a necessity?

Everyone I have talked to is pumped about it..

Better Football
Better Road Trips
Better Baseball
Better Fans
Better Stability

It will be 1000x harder to win a conference championship and/or a National Championship in Football.. but overall, worth it a million times over.. And the Aggie melt is just the icing on the cake!

I have lived in Houston for thirty years and know dozens of Horn fans, and nothing personal, but my perception of the Texas fan base is apathy when compared to SEC fans. Perhaps the last 10 years of being irrelevant nationally has warped my outlook of you guys, maybe being in the SEC makes everyone else look less rabid? I just don't see a lot of passion from Texas fans. Is that a fair assessment?

Texas Football has royally sucked since the NC in January 2010.. Charlie Strong was just a nightmare hire, even though I really wanted him to do well because he seems like a good guy. Herman was a lot better, and had he done things a little bit differently, he would still be coaching..

Even before this news came out, the fans have been really excited about Sark & the new staff. The SEC news is just adding jet fuel to the fire..

Common denominator between the teams that are scared for this transition. Look at the head to head - they’ve been completely owned in their history - so much that the word rivalry should barely apply.

We own you every bit as much as we own Aggy, Pig. I hadn’t realized Aggy had passed us in everything, wow. We’re just over here building the best athletic department in the country while Aggy still hasn’t won anything of value - statement has no merit. Once football reaps the rewards of coming to the SEC the door opens for the Horns to succeed at every sport.

Pig run defense ranked 89th last year. Bijan Robinson can really kick off his Heisman campaign with 200 yards in Fayetteville.

Drop the lazy “scared” narrative.
Using it shows your level of (un)awareness.
Unless you’re willing to concede you’re scared of TCU, Baylor, and Kansa State.

Which is we should all just chill. SEC has the leverage here. This is like a has been signing a deal with the devil to become relevant again. They’re not in control of shite.

The lack of success in his tenure really surprised me. Recruiting wasn't at the Mack Brown level but he was solid.
What the hell happened (or didnt happen) that caused him to fail?

They still have posts on their main boards saying the SEC is beneath them.
