I guess that makes me a troll and imposter.

In 2019 I predicted that bama would lose to lsu, oh the horror.

Must be an imposter for sure.

If you guys win out, I think OU deserves to be in it given whats left on the table.

At the end of the season, things will absolutely shake up and fall into place. Doesn't Ohio St and Mich St still have to play one another?

Baton Rouge Native/LSU alumni/die-hard LSU Football fan here. I hate them Gump fricks.

But the committee got it right. Alabama with one loss is still a much better football team than anyone else in the country.

Record means a lot but schedule means more.

Ohio State finishes with Michigan State, Michigan, Big Ten title game.

I don't know why OSU people are freaking out, if they win out they are 2 or 3 at worst.

Takes fewer key strokes to type "we" than "Alabama".

Based on my profile and the subject matter I had faith that you would be able to figure it out.

I didn't mean to strain your brain.

Anybody who watched that A&M game knows those were two of the best teams in the country.

As Aggies, we had some bad luck early, and expected OL struggles, so it is what it is. I take solace that we've overcome those and the OL jelled, which was amazing to see.

I think we're amond the best RIGHT NOW, but the Committee aint gonna give us a shot with 2 losses. We'll just have to shoot for SEC Championship, with wins over #1 Bama and #1 Georgia, then let the Committee send us to the sidelines for the second year in a row.

Unfortunately the rant isn't a place where people actually talk about football. This is primarily a shitposting board with an SEC theme.

I must have seen a different game. The one I watched was a shite show filled with drops, crap OL blocking, busted plays, and mental errors

Doesn't matter.

They either win out and get in as Number 1, or they lose and don't go

So exactly why are we at number 2?

Because the committee thinks Alabama is currently the 2nd best team in the country.

Does anyone think that we would be 2nd if we weren't named Alabama?

Name has nothing to do with it. The committee sees the talent on our roster and feels this team is better than everyone but Georgia.

What does last years team have to do with this years team?

Nothing.

Just like tonight's rankings meaning jack shite when we have over a month of football left.

This is a weird melt.

Disagree here, partially.

The ceiling of Bama due to talent is absolutely a factor, and a relevant one as you indicate.

But, Bama (Saban) has earned the benefit of the doubt with their ability to recover from in season stumbles and finish strong. That Bama name and reputation creates its own bias no matter how objectively one tries to look at it.

It does appear that you’re confusing the timelines of your various alters.

When Georgia beats them in Atlanta then bama won’t be in the top 4 with 2 loses.

Let it play out

Are you speaking of their game with Mercer, their game with Southern Mississippi, or their upcoming game with new Mexico State. Tell me more about Alabama's tough schedule.

This is exactly shite though. Your roster or potential shouldn't matter. Results on the field should. This is why the committee, with no real criteria is just whatever gets ratings.

We don’t block and tackle good enough to be ranked that high.

Not ridiculous to me. The other options are limited. The past decade shows these 1-loss Bama teams recover well.
