re: Question for Florida Gators fans regarding these comments made by a media member - AlaCowboy
Georgia cannot say the same thing. You lose Fromm, you're done. You lose your RB, you're done.
Yep. Our season really tanked in 2017 when we lost our starting QB in the first series of our opening game. We had to replace him with a true freshman. Too bad we only made it to the NC g...

re: Just rewatched the LSU - AlaCowboy
I think Fields ran exactly the play HE wanted to run. He was already on his way out and didn't have his head or heart in the SECCG....

re: Just rewatched the LSU - AlaCowboy
I still firmly believe that fake FG changed the entire game. Yes I know its one play but you could feel it in the stands (I was on the LSU side) everyone was like. Wait a minute we got a chance. You could see it on the sidelines, from that point forward the sidelines changed.
Teams...
Yes,I know that's a bit much for the Chaney playbook but it just MIGHT have worked.
I have an uneasy feeling that sometime in early October we might be wishing we had Chaney calling plays for us. I hope not, but still ......

re: What do yall think about this upcoming robot takeover - AlaCowboy
When that completely automated world happens and I've finished installing the last instrument in the last building, I'll lock the door and go to my private island without telling anyone where the on/off switch is located....

re: What do yall think about this upcoming robot takeover - AlaCowboy
When I first started selling computers in 1972, the average system cost about $1M, and took up about 2,000 sqft of floor space. The selling points were that it would eliminate clerical jobs and reduce paperwork. But the data entry needs gave the paper-pushing clerks new jobs, and computer repair jobs...

re: Florida -- As the swamp burns -- Updated 7/16 10:30 AM EST - AlaCowboy
When talking about player average the difference of 1.63 is a significant amount.
You would be correct IF 1.63 was the difference. But, the difference was .163, which is NOT a significant amount. .9074-.8911= .163 ...

re: Your stadium then and now - AlaCowboy
Love the people watching from the overpass .
Up until 1981, the other end of Sanford Stadium was open, and across the road is a railroad track. Fans used to stand on the track and watch the game and the engineers would blow the train whistle from a mile away so everyone would clea...

re: Swift and the Heisman Trophy.. - AlaCowboy
Swift will need 20-25 carries a game and an average of about 120 ypg to have a serious shot at the Heisman. Also, the AD needs to send video of his every game to the voters and the sports media. The last player I can recall that won the Heisman on performance alone (without all that other stuff) was...

re: Jersey Retirements - AlaCowboy
If we win the NC under Kirby Smart, I'd consider that. But, although he was a very good DB, retiring a number should be for an exceptional player that led us to an NC. PS: no downvote from me....

re: Georgia football reports three secondary recruiting violations - AlaCowboy
It's smart to report this stuff, imo. It gives the NCAA the impression Georgia is diligently looking after things.
If the NCAA ever does come calling, it's much better that they have a record of these being reported by us. The NCAA doesn't like to find things that should have been ...
When I'm old and retired I would probably love to live in the coutnry wiht a lot of land. Fencing, cutting grass, weed contro...

I also would prefer no rentals if I lived in a subdivision. But, since I live on 114 acres and my nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile away, rentals don't bother me so much....
Why do people not carry revolvers anymore?
Only 6 shots with a revolver. That said, I carry an S&W .38 Police Special when I'm outside around the farm. But I carry a 9mm Beretta when I am away from home. Sometimes I have a .32 semiauto as backup....
