John Wayne movies were a little too corny for me.

Cincinnati average star rating for 2022 class is 86.
Fickell is recruiting players to a non P5 team on par with what Mel is doing at a Big Ten team.

LSU would be getting a tired, worn down version of Urban.
Negative recruiting would be so easy (laundry list of material).
I actually hope LSU sells their soul and hires Urban, just so I can laugh at the ensuing failure and melt.

It's different for different sports.
Basketball you are one of 5 guys and you never leave the floor. You can have a huge impact on the game.
Baseball it's kind of meaningless.
You are one of 9 guys and if the other team chooses to they don't even have to pitch to you.
Not to mention if you are a position player on a team with horrid pitching.
Football is a mix.
If you are qb then it means more, if you are a lock down corner on a horrible team then what difference does it make.

He was DC on 2014 team that won national title.
He has Cincinnati playing tough D with a bunch of 2 star recruits in an era where Power 5 teams barely play D.
He is as squeaky clean as any HC in the country.
He would kill it in recruiting.
He's the right mix of experience and youth.
Spent his entire life at OSU so he won't be intimidated by coaching LSU, but this would be his first P5 gig and chance to make his mark in coaching.
He would be dangerous at LSU.
