I fricking wish. Alabama has always been good aside from about an 8 year period. Bear Bryant is a top 5 all time great coach

Kalen DeBoer has playoff appearances in 2 of the last 3 seasons winning multiple playoff games and making the National Championship game in one of the appearances.

Kalen DeBoer also has three 11+ win seasons in power conferences the past 4 seasons and a power conference championship and an appearance in a 2nd power conference championship game.

Name another coach in the SEC that can match or beat that list of accomplishments over the past 4 seasons except Smart and maybe Sarkisian who has two final fours.

If I’m an 18-22 year old kid and programs in nice towns are offering me the same money, why would I choose Alabama?

Imagine having to listen to rammer jammer every first down.

So your argument is that no players are ever going to want to play for LSU again?

Just played in the SECCG and won a playoff game. Most recent recruiting signing class was top 3.

90% of the SEC would kill for our irrelevance.

Don't cry for us Argentina.

Are you saying there is a chance that LSU will not to make the playoffs this coming season?

I don’t blame LSU, Georgia, and Auburn fans for hating Deboer. He is a combined 6-1 against them.

I would never count Alabama out. I'm not 100% Deboer is the answer, but he hasn't failed yet. It takes time for a coach to get everything right. This year will show a lot of what he is about and capable of. If he slides backwards - then maybe he's not the guy. Those helmet schools still have a big attraction for players, add that to the NIL money the schools are spending to try and compete against those helmet schools. Undefeated seasons will be an anomaly - unless you somehow only schedule weak out of conference games and get blessed by the conference to not play a tough schedule. Kind of like Indiana this year. Sometimes luck falls on your side.

Fun fact - 1997-2006 Bama still accomplished more than 1999-2025 Tennessee.

He cost LSU boosters $130 million dollars. So I am happy too!

Yeah, if you're taking over a rebuild. DeBoer didn't.

Good thing Kiffin didn’t either. He took over for the winningest active coach in NCAA football, who’d just had 3 straight 9+ win seasons at LSU before he was fired mid-season.

By that token, 8-4 would be a good season in year 1.

This place will go nuts if LSU goes 8-4.

The Tiger Rant will likely implode.
