I see your point, but there’s a lot of deadweight in both conferences. The solution would be to make a new conference that would take the cream of the crop from both conferences. Teams would leave for the upgraded revenue sharing alone.

Everyone saw this coming except DeBoer. I respect the confidence though. Dude restructures his contract for a nice raise but sacrifices the buyout protection, meaning he loses money long-term if things go south.

Alabama is basically back to where they were before Saban — irrelevant. Even a lot of Bama fans seem to realize it. The writing was on the wall when Saban bounced, and their latest recruiting class has people nervous.

For those of us with only passive interest, what are some more recent signs of the slide? Has Walmart Alabama merch/inventory noticeably dropped? Anyone seeing fewer Alabama stickers on cars these days?

What other signs of the impending collapse have you noticed?

You’d actually be very surprised. Worked in a central European country and no one knew about cfb. Have a lot of family in the UK and Ireland (dual citizen) and it was on me to educate them on how the NFL is inferior—all of them didn’t know or care who LSU or Alabama was.
