Then everyone got outed as juicing, and I no longer gave a flip about home run records.

People have ALWAYS done anything they could to get an edge. It’s not new.

Also, people act like steroids are some magic pill.
Take one does of steroids and all of a sudden you are Super-human…. That’s not how it works at all.

I didn't say I watched it. Just that it's a milestone that tells us football is here.

Late July / early August is the true doldrums.

In the meantime, we have Wimbledon, British Open, Tour de France, World Cup.

Wimbeldon starts next week and the British Open is in mid-July. Also the World Cup is going on through July.

August is reserved for talking shite about the upcoming football season. As our beloved tradition, every football fanbase in America gets to feel like this might be their year, except the Browns.

I like to follow the Tour de France in July just because it takes 23 days to complete... So between the tennis matches and the Soccer and the Golf match... This July might not be too bad...

On MLB.. July is mid season. Not enough drama for me to sit down and watch games. Kind of like the TDF... just follow the standings and watch the highlights.

But don't forget that July is also Talkin' Season... where we get to hear all our favorite beat writers ask stupid questions to the coaches and players of the various teams of the different conferences in exotic and fun filled locations.

MLB is good if you have a team in the hunt. I do…but I really only watch my team and check the standings. But that is also now true of college football and basketball whereas I used to watch everyone all the time…but it isn’t the same. It is just hired guns with no ties to my school. Soccer…not a serious sport to follow. I watched the US Open and enjoyed it. Will watch the majors…but soccer is more like watching bowling or a corn hole competition. I might watch a little but I don’t care who wins end it isn’t anything amazing. It is 22 people walking around most of the time and then a couple of them will run real fast then go back to walking.

August is actually reserved for melting in the South. But I’ll take one bad month of heat for awesome winters.

I can't watch MLB on tv but I do enjoy going to 3 or 4 games every year. I have watched a few of the world cup soccer games. I have a new respect for soccer but still am not going to spend a bunch of time watching it.

Baseball is my favorite sport, so Im good.

I am too, but I screwed up as a kid in the early 90s and latched onto a player (Griffey) and not a team. So when he retired almost 20 years ago now, I was left without anyone to follow. I tried becoming a Braves fan when I lived in Atlanta, but it didn't take. And I just can't lean into a 162 game season without a rooting interest. I follow the LSU guys loosely (as in I keep up with how they're doing), and I do enjoy watching the MLB playoffs. IDK, maybe Nashville will get a team one day and I can just be a fan of them.
