No we only eliminated damn near the entire Top Ten by ourselves. Who did your choice for beat team ever beat?

The best team ever does not give up over 500 yards to Ole Miss. They do not let a lowly Vandy put up over 30 points.
Are there rules for this topic? Or are you just making them up as you go along? The "best team ever" does beat seven Top Ten teams. That's my rule.

01 Miami would’ve lost to 2019 LSU by 20 points. Their QB was far inferior and would not have kept up with Burrow. Dont even get me started on 95 Nebraska. No matter how you put it, Stingley would have locked down any receiver he played against Miami or Nebraska, Burrow would out perform both teams QBs and one of our WRs would have had 200 yards regardless of who stopped the other 2. No team in history would have to defense to slow us down and the offense to keep up. That simple

The unit on that one side of the ball managed to shut down the number one pick in next year's NFL draft in the championship game, and made him look rather... how do you say... average. But I'm sure they lucked their way into that, so... you know...

Do you know the definition of average? Because top 1/4 of the country is most meaningful statistics isn’t it.

Dude, LSUs defense was very fricking good last year. We battled through injuries, suspensions and other factors that held us back for the first half of more of the season. Great defenses like LSUs turn it up when the games are the biggest and on the biggest stages, which they proved. That LSU defense will have a whole hell of alot of nfl players that played on it and they won't just end up on a roster, they will be good players at the next level. 2019 LSU defense was much much better than people have them credit for and we're dominant in the last several games of the year when they got healthy and everyone was back. Your ignorance is showing.

Who cares? We are the first SEC team in history to go 15-0. We can argue about if LSU had the best season or not. I don't care because we have the natty!!!!

This is the correct answer. Who cares? It’s irrelevant and unprovable. LSU was the best team in 2019. Move on. I don’t understand why so many LSU fans have to be “tHe beSt EVar!” to feel good about themselves.

Well I have never said any UF team is the best ever.

2008 UF would be a fun game for sure. 08 UF is better in the trenches on both sides of the ball. That should worry you.

You calling the Defense "average" shows how little you know.

There were injuries and Aranda said himself he essentially had to re-work the entire D because of that.

Look at what LSU did to A&M, UGA, OU, and Clemmy for an idea of what it should have been all year. No team in history was beating LSU at the end of this season. Period. That's not average by any standard except yours.

average defense

November called, they want their talking point back.

LSU held A&M, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Clemson to their lowest point totals of the season.

Defense was elite when it mattered.

But please, continue to tell us what our defense did in games that were 28-0 after the 1stQ.

Would you put them up against the 08 ole Miss team? At home?

Sure would. If they played 10 times, Ole Miss would have had 9 beatdowns from Florida.
