2019 LSU is not the best team ever

Best team ever has to have an elite defense.
Best offense ever, very strong argument for LSU. LSU had an average defense though. Not sure how you can claim they didn't looking at the numbers.
The best team ever does not give up over 500 yards to Ole Miss. They do not let a lowly Vandy put up over 30 points.
LSU had one of the best seasons ever, absolutely agree. They are not the best team ever though. Far to lacking on the defensive side to claim that.

Only knock I have is the timing. Saban was already a dead man walking for almost a year.

If you knew half of what you’re talking about you’d know that LSU defense only gave up 24 to Vandy. They scored 2 defensive touchdowns. They also weren’t healthy most of the year at the end of the year once they got healthy they were a dominate unit and locked down some of the best offenses in the country.

Lsu defense stopped every team they faced including some of the highest ranked offenses in CFB. The best team ever is not even up for debate. It's been proven that the 2019 lsu tigers was by far the best team ever.

I mean 01 Miami had injuries. 95 Nebraska had injuries. Yet they seemed to do well in all phases of the game. Shouldn't the best team ever have depth?

Some of you Fools need to come to the reality of how the game is played now.
In terms of the rules today, LSU’s defense, particularly against LSU’s final 4 opponents was elite. Clemson & OU scored easily on everyone they played this year, but not LSU. Georgia & A&M had major difficulty moving the ball and scoring on LSU.

I really like LSU. Will probably come to Baton Rouge for SC game. Great fans and a great team 2019. Nowhere near the beat team ever. Not even close

Did those teams go 15-0? How many top ten teams they played? The fact LSU played more games and got stronger defensively playing offensive teams says something.

You are right. There are other teams that are better. That takes nothing away from what LSU did, but it’s true

Not really. Nebraska's offense was objectively more productive, and did it on fewer plays.
