OM-31
TN-26

Pretty good defensive scheme and effort in the worst environment in CFB. Durkin has to get a little credit.

Yeah our defense played pretty well. Still a ways to go but I liked the improvement.

Big running qbs eat us up though.

ANY fricking chance that Lane tries to bring his brother Chris back as DLine coach or DC? He was a great piece of our staff under Freeze

He needs to get a lot of credit for that win. This D holding anyone with a pulse below 30 has to be considered a win.

I don't want Ed O anywhere near our program, again.

Changed my mind. Let that bastard go hunt nutria for money. He talked massive shite after leaving and even went so far as to tell Kiffin not to come.

Hope he gets gangreen in the swamp and his leg falls off for a snapping turtle to eat.

Dude is an absolute monster recruiter. I'm down for him coming in as a defensive staff member.

Wasn't his recruiting at Ole Miss al ittle suspect. IIR his technique was to offer every 4-5 recuit in the country including every high-risk grade and behavior prospect and see what stuck. He did get talent but seems we had a lot of attrition in his classes?

As for USC and LSU he did a great job but who couldn't.

Edited to add. We don't need his gibberish speaking, shirtless, cajun psycho shennanigans anywhere near this program.

and even still we had NFL players all over that 2008-09 squad.

the other thing to consider is he was the head coach and made all of the decisions back then. Lane would be the decision maker here.

Pretty decent amount of commits never stepped foot on campus or made it to day 1

Orgeron or Matt Luke are not coming back to be assistants. All these guys have egos and it would nobody it going to accept going from being the head coach of a program to an assistant. Much easier to go to another program. Orgeron will be at Bama by January 1 with Jeremy Pruitt as co-defensive coordinators.

Bring him in as a recruiting coordinator & assistant DL coach. The guy is a great recruiter!

First, I'd like to say CONGRATS to Durkin, Partridge, and all the defensive coaches and players for that incredible performance Sat night. They held a SUPER HOT offense to under 30 pts in the most hostile environment they will ever play in. As much as I'm a Durkin critic, I have no problem giving credit where it's due. At the end of the day I'm an OM fan who wants what's best for the team and fans.

Now...what did y'all think of that spot on 4th and 24? All I'll say is, at the time of the play, first look, I was absolutely certain TN had made a first down. In other words, I felt very fortunate when I saw the spot.

I think the refs got it right. The ball was at the kids waist. The only part of him in first down territory was his hand that wasn't holding the ball.

Have to give credit were credit is due. Undermanned defense stood strong today.
