Boise is in Mountain time, so it is only an hour difference. It's an advantage. It's not a guaranteed win. FSU's problem is Taggart and not the time of the game.

Boise came out pretty flat though. They were down 21-6 at the end of the first and had to rally to beat a bad Florida State team. Obviously I’m not saying the 11am kickoff means we win, but I do think it offers somewhat of an advantage, at least early on.

I’m looking dead at the party tents (3:43 cst) and they are solid shade. Don’t seat many but it’s shade.

Would be so weird to live on the fringe of a time zone and commute in and out of it, for instance. Like if you lived in that little yellow panhandle area under the red. Just a weird concept.

Back when I lived in Rome, Ga for a bit.. I worked with several folks who lived in far eastern Alabama and would cross the time zone at the GA state line..

Always seemed odd to me .

Each tent had a bunch of people sitting under them at kickoff. End of 1st quarter they got a lot less crowded. 6:00 left in the 1st half and they were empty...along with practically the rest of the student section.

Hard to keep the students in metal bleachers when its 95F outside. The renovation of the north endzone was a complete and total misfire and the "Party Decks" were a stupid idea from the beginning.

Someone tell me something about this Cal game, please. I'm going to the game and don't want to be too disappointed if we get beat by them again.

The "party decks" may or may not have gone over well. Who knows? What we have now is cover from the sun for a few lucky folks. I can positively tell you it was better under those than out in the open Saturday. And as for the look, you barely even notice them, so they are certainly not weird or an eye sore of any kind. As long as we continue to play these stupid arse mid-day games in a heat wave (one we know about days in advance) in September, they are about the only to place to sit in reasonable comfort in that end of the stadium.

Also, let me give props to our band, too. They had to have been roasting Saturday as they've been stuck in the worst possible spot as well. Had it not been for them, it would have really been dead in the Vaught.

Very winnable. Will certainly have to play better than we did against SELA. Defense is supposed to be good, but not explosive on offense.

And if we don't turn out as a fanbase that's on us. We (some of us at least) should put our disdain for Matt Luke aside and get to the game. If you have the means, live anywhere near Oxford and don't go, you are welcome to feel however you want, but you should take the bitching elsewhere. Same difference if you don't vote and then want to complain.

P.S. - the weather will be somewhat cooler. That is all.

They'll change it by then. It'll be 98. They've taunted us with this "cooler weather just around the corner" before.
