Anyone know why Perkins only had two tackles? Did he play? Was he hurt? If our defense is gonna get its shite together he has to play above his head like he was earlier in the season.

He was spying Daniels all game. Watch the last play of the game he was literally mirroring Daniels every move.

He actually should have been spying Daniels more than he did. They lined him up at defensive end quite a bit and had Tennison spy Daniels. Against Arkansas, Jefferson needs to be his sole focus. After Arkansas, unleash him in the pass rush but this weekend put him at middle linebacker following Jefferson and hope Ivey and Johnson can get some pressure from the outside.

I noticed that. And the replay was stressing me out. We had 3 guys rushing, and 6 guys deep, and two guys just playing middle linebacker. Those guys need to be blitzing, or falling back deep. Absolutely no reason to have them standing at the 10 yard line waving their arms. He's not gonna run it in from the 20.
I was just surprised at his lack of contribution. If he was spying Daniels all game, I wanted to see him getting more licks in.

I expect franklin to get much more involved next week. They’re gradually re introducing him to the offense. Tbf, it doesn’t really matter. With Harris back, teams are forced to put their top DB on him every snap and use their safety as help and watch him the entire time. This means that teams have to stick their second and third best DB on Watkins and Wade and they are just too fast for these SEC DBs to keep up with this year. Harris is not only a playmaker but opens up the passing game in so many ways. When he was a non factor against bama because of injury, they were able to use Kool-Aid in a much more effective way and he basically shut down one side of the field which is why our offense sputtered so bad. Also, if you noticed, we switched to a more gap based offensive line scheme this weekend and man it paid dividends. It was night and day. The UAB OL transfer played his fricking arse off and will be getting more snaps. McIntyre did great too. Very optimistic moving forward.

As for defense, I wouldn’t really worry about the shootout. That is by far the best QB we’ll face all season. Coverage was really good for a lot of the game but there’s nothing we can do about an NFL quarterback turning into Mahomes before our very eyes and throwing 40 yard dots into the corner of the end zone. There isn’t a quarterback we’ll face for the rest of the season who can do that. Not even close

Anyone else still hyped from that win?

I thought so too. Those TD catches were pretty insane. Secondary has played pretty well this season.

Best game I’ve ever been to. Will remember it 30 years from now.

Secondary has been our best defensive unit so far. Just happens to be that LSU's passing game is one of the best in the country. I'm not at all worried about our defense, they got stops late in the game when we had to have them and gave us a chance to win. I'll take that every time.

I don’t think people realize how important Harris and Preiskorn are for the run game. LSU was only putting 6 in the box to account for Harris and Prieskorn is a true run blocking tight end. It’s not a coincidence Judkins went for 177 yards in the first game with both of them truly playing.

Excited about Judkins and Bentley for the rest of the season. Bentley is unbelievably fast. Watching him in person is like watching someone with a rocket attached to them. Those LSU DBs had the angle on him on his TD run and he just blew right by them. Elite NFL speed

I was thinking the same thing about Franklin. I think his role is about to start becoming more of a feature of our offense going forward. Really excited about this offense. On top of that, a few of those big play throws that Daniels completed were fairly well covered. They were just great passes and great catches.

I expect more from Franklin after the bye week. Think he's still getting healthy and is out there more as a decoy right now.

That was probably the best Rebs game I've ever attended.
Tigers are 11-10-2 in Oxford and 2-4 in their last six.
It makes the fall so much better when we beat those yellow assholes.
