Auburn is legit up front on both sides of the ball. These teams are very similar in how they depend on the run, but are capable of passing as well.

Penn State will not be able to run on Auburn. Auburn won’t be able to early, but will wear them down late 3rd quarter and the SEC talent will be too much.

Alter.

Just thought I'd get it out of the way before the other Bama fans get in here.

..because of Auburn's superior depth?

I think you are underselling it. I think it will be closer to 20.

B1G is weak.

This is a Penn State team that is stacked with future NFL talent. This game, like most Penn State games, will come down to what version of Sean Clifford shows up.

Supposedly there is mutual interest between USC and Franklin.

I agree. I've always thought that this year's Auburn team will turn out to be at least "pretty good" and will be better than most people think. There's just something about when no one thinks Auburn will be good that makes them good, especially when they have a coach in his first or second season (see Chizik and Malzahn).

I feel like Penn state is better than the akron team they beat twice. I could be wrong though.

Meh, there are still questions about the OL. It's easy for them to look good when they average over 60 pounds heavier than the DL.

I think the Penn St DL is their best position group on their team. This will answer any questions about the Auburn OL and whether they have progressed any. Because the last couple years under Gus, the OL recruiting was abysmal. And the OL play has been just as bad. Especially pass blocking which in turn made Bo Nix look completely lost at times. We will also see if he has taken to the new coaching during this game. Because I believe they will give Bo some pressure. He needs to take that next step and be able to step up and throw instead of rolling out and playing backyard ball.

We will see.

ETA: I truly believe both defenses are better than the opposing offenses in this game. Expect a low scoring, smash mouth, old school type of game. Probably first to 20 wins.

Nice touch. Get their hopes up. So much sweeter when they lay that egg.

If Auburn loses this weekend, it’s all on Gus.
