From Stingley Sr:

quote:

"Derek called me immediately after and was like 'Dad, Pelini never called me, Aranda never called me.' They'd talk to me yeah but not have personal relationships like coach [Corey] Raymond. It just shows he's relating to these kids. I'm pretty sure Derek's going to want to run through a wall for him."

I guess you could go ahead and say that the defense is better now than at any point last year.

LSU’s new DC trying to form a relationship with his best player is news?

Can't wait to see all those personal relationships make tackles and not get burnt in coverage.

Maybe the new DC can teach him how to cover.

Can’t teach not opting out nor calling out sick, though.

Last two DCs never talked to their players? Sounds like a culture problem.

ogre said that last year, too. hey, i agree. it’s when you play a team with a pulse that the defense sucks.

Really amazed that the new DC called his star DB. I think he should be a favorite for the Frank Broyles award due to this extraordinary action.

To be fair, that is a VERY low bar.

Why is Stingley's dad always giving quotes? Dude seems like an attention whore.
