What are gameday traditions obsolete at your school?

I put this on the rant but thought it would be interesting what other schools ended.

Not really a tradition. I'm pretty sure it was only brought in because Holtz wanted to agitate So. Cal, but I'm glad we got rid of this piece of crap. Was used on the football field and on football pants for a bit before the basketball team adopted it. Luckily, it's completely gone.

We haven't croomed anyone in a while because we croomed Croom. Meow um not sure if he is still coaching, and has crooming power but could very well possibly be the case. croom.

Mike the tiger staying in his cage on gamedays

Not every game day, but VOLS vs UK used to have a beer barrel go to the winner. Discontinued after a Drunk driving crash killed some UK players a week before the "98 game

My favorite reason to go to an ole miss game even when they aren’t playing LSU.

Oddly question worded.

-Don't know when it started but all the way up to the mid-late 90s during pregame when the team and the Uga mascot would take the field Uga would come out on a big red fire hydrant. Not sure when that went away.
-During our fight song, for decades the crowd would say "and to hell with georgia tech" but as the years went on people quit doing that and try to shoehorn whoever we're playign into it. Loses a lot of luster IMO. There's just something kind of embarrassing about a lackluster effort of a few hundred people quietly mumbling "and to hell with U-L-M"
-This was way before my time but apparently in the 70s/80s when the opposing team would take the field that area of the stadium would chant "dawg-food" down on them. Haven't done it in my lifetime though.

Not gameday but day before gameday against the Georgia Tech was the Wreck Tech Parade.
quote:
When it comes to nostalgia for bygone college culture and customs, the Wreck Tech Parade usually tops the list for Auburn grad Boomers and Gen X'ers. Part pajama party, part possible reenactment, the grand tradition (which began taking its distinct shape in the early 1930s) was laid to rest in 1987 when, after nine straight losses, Georgia Tech threw in the towel on the rivalry that started in 1892 in order to spend more quality time with its fellow ACC opponents.

Fans staying for the entire game?

Bama used to sing Rammer Jammer before the games too. Instead of "we just beat the hell out of you" it was "we're gonna beat the hell out of you."

Lotta Confederate shite

The liberals ruined Mike and his ride around the stadium for us at LSU.

Another gameday observation more than tradition, fans parked on victory hill and before games when the band would march down, fans would stand on those cars. As a young tiger fan it was the craziest thing I’d ever seen. Of course it’s much tamer now.
Also seeing an ole miss guy in confederate uniform and LSU guy in a tiger costume passed out outside the gates was wild.

Rolling the ORIGINAL Toomers Trees... Of course rolling Toomers is even a bigger deal now...

Posting up a live tiger right outside the visiting teams entrance onto the field, and having Mike the Tiger on the field inside Tiger Stadium. Damn tree huggers and animal rights activists ended that long tradition.
