To think the ball you use doesn’t matter is silly

So how many strokes are you gaining playing a ProV1 over a Pinnacle?
I would argue that not just a serious golfer, but a low handicap golfer is the only one that really benefits. The ball doesn’t matter to a 25 hdcp player.
On a scale of 1-10, how important is the ball you play?

I am getting more and more skeptical. I truly believe it only benefits the golfer at the higher level … Spin.
Is it the ball? the club? the player? Could a low single digit hdcp player go low with a TopFlite?
It’s a fun exercise, and I love the reviews in GOLF Magazine and MyGolfSpy.
I’m a data junkie and I love golf reviews. It’s fun and that’s it.

I have shot in the upper 70’s with TopFlite, TaylorMade, Maxfli, Titleist, Bridgestone and Vice. I’m only a 9-10 hdcp with a scoring average of 81.3 and I do not have the swing that creates consistent ball spin. I am playing the Maxfli Tour X and I love them.
Best balance of performance and value on the market.

There is a brand new one from Shot Scope called the LM1. It's $199. Has a fairly bright screen (like 3.5" display).

THIS ONE!!!!

What is your opinion of these?
The Blueprint driving iron is supposed to be special.
Considering it at the top of my bag.

All Mizuno? Which ones? JPX? Pro? MP?

the wind really picked up on the back 9

That was the craziest non-hurricane wind I can remember in Central Florida.
The morning was not bad, and I wish I would have gone out. Saturday afternoon and Sunday were cold.
Great tournament for you!
Not much changing for me

Mizuno ST190 Driver - Graphite Design DI6 SR
Titleist TS2 5-wood - a white one :)
Mizuno MP 60 FliHi 3 iron - TrueTemper Dynamic Gold shaft S
Mizino MMC 4 & 5 - Nippon Modus Tour 120 shaft S
Mizuno MP20 6-P - Nippon Modus Tour 120 shaft S
Edison 51, 55, 59 wedges - KBS PGI S
Bettinardi Inovai 3.0 Putter
Maxfli Tour X Ball

Looking to upgrade my Utility iron this year. Would love to bring in a 2-iron to replace my 3 (more yardage?), but so far, I hit the 3 just as well.
They have a few in Orlando area.

The one closest to me, Athletic Motion Golf, seems more like a social club, full bar and social events. 4 hours a month for $79, 12 hours/mo for $167, Unlimited for $299/mo.

Another one, Swing Envy, is more training/lessons and practice. The Putt-View putting green is really cool. A Mizuno-Titleist fitter/rep is onsite. They are going to expand, so demand must be decent. 4 hours/mo $79, 8 hrs/mo $129, Unlimited $239/mo (3 hrs max per day)

opposing SEC fans will make that picture into a meme at some point

My Arkansas buddy already has!
I tolerate basketball. Couldn’t pay me to go. College is a little better than pro. At least there is some semblance of offense and defense. It has become a horrible game to watch, except for March Madness. I’ll watch a few of those games. Would rather do laundry.

The hat and the head covers. Really cool. $250 minimum.

All depends on your goal for your golf game. If you just want to get out and knock it around, who cares about a score?

I have a friend that is pretty good, probably 8-12 hdcp, and he NEVER keeps score. Just has a carry bag with 5-7 clubs and he usually walks. He just enjoys the game. He’s never competitive, never too serious. To him, it’s just a number. I’m kind of jealous of that.

I’m VERY competitive, probably to a fault. I need to just enjoy the moment … GOLF. Have played some great courses. Wish I would have just stopped more often and soaked it in.
Maybe it’s a physical issue. Tight hips. Decreased flexibility. These are just a few things it could be. Decreased flexibility and weak core are my biggest challenges.
M13s are a great example of a blended set. The weighting, composition, and look are so clean. Not even going to try hitting them. Can’t afford them, so no reason to get all worked up. ??

Me too. Nothing feels like a Mizuno.

I played MP60s (forged) and went for an upgrade fully expecting to get fit for JPXs (cavity back). Ended up with blended set of MP20s (6-P) and MMCs (4-5). Had too much “turf interaction” with the wider sole of the cavity back clubs. The thinner sole of the forged works for my swing. 9 hdcp.

I feel like removing that rule would remove the incentive to sandbag since all the rounds used for handicapping are in the league.

That’s why I’m looking for some sort of excessive point rule. I feel you should score within a range. Maybe +/- 3 or 4.
+13 is obscene.
I get what you’re saying, but not sure our guys are aware of how many times they have won in a year.
I guess we will just deal with it.
Thanks for the input
I watched the first one and that's it.
I'd rather watch more YouTube Invitationals.
More intriguing. Maybe add and equal amount of female golfers?

The more I think about it, the more I think you'll have a tough time with this.

This looks like a great app for leagues with hdcp's. I'm sure you can't substitute points for GHIN numbers. Hmmmm.
If the sandbagger wasn't such a big MOFO, we just beat him. He's former OPD SWAT.
