That all being said… the outdoor shite was so unnecessary and bad. Why? And don’t blame me for focusing on a 2 second scene like that… I’m not the one who put it front and center in the first few minutes of getting to know the character. There were other ways of humbling him or signaling to the viewer to not take things so seriously. Why this way? fricking horrible. Really.
I agree with this. For what it's worth, I enjoyed episode 1 (although like everyone else it feels way too short and these 3 short books shouldn't take half a decade or more for us to watch, but here we are). Anyway, I read the books years ago and really enjoyed them. I knew they had a different tone than other GOT material and I thought this episode actually did a good job of establishing that and an explicit shite scene wasn't necessary
Honestly, the "different tone" scene setter was set for me just a couple of minutes earlier "I could join the City Watch. 'You, stop raping, sir!'"

It’s an all day event getting to and from that stadium and there is nothing to do in that area.
Building on the old RFK site will be much better.

The Titanic went down in April 1912. The Federal Reserve Act passes December 1913, during the holidays when a lot of Congress was away.
And WW1 started 8 months after that! Coincidence? I think not.

Hardly travel to their own home games. I was in Miami in Oct-Nov and got a Syracuse lower bowl ticket for $15. $7-8 if you wanted upper deck.

Neither Russia nor China have the naval capacity needed to launch a full scale invasion on Greenland.
ETA: quite frankly, if China had that kind of capacity and confidence, they would’ve taken Taiwan a long time ago.

Glad he used the word trafficked. It's not just that its extremely rough terrain, is extremely rough terrain controlled by some of the most ruthless and exploitive groups on the planet. Oh, and once you get through you still have to get through the rest of Central America and Mexico.

Not going to lie, this sounds like GoT “she sort of forgot about the Iron Fleet” 2.0. Forget about the abyss, there were no demos of any kind in the Upside Down save maybe that one attack scene on a convoy. There was no sneak attack, the military was literally driving in and out of there and set up an entire base without issue. Killed the vibe and danger of the Upside Down for me.
