I think this is the big issue in college and the NFL. A hard hit, especially on a QB, and the refs throw a flag because “it looks bad” without actually paying attention to what happened.

As a rule of thumb, I’m not a fan of off setting penalties when they are unequal offenses. And I don’t say that just because that would’ve benefited us.
