I appreciate how you broke down the numbers. Thank you. I mean that. Some research is always helpful on these topics. But the games I submitted in my response are debatable right now. I don't think it's far fetched that Northern Illinois would beat Arky. Hell, NIU's main rival, Toledo, beat Arky this year. Indiana can score some points. South Carolina can't stop anybody.
Minnesota plays a stingy defense and Auburn can't score. NOt a good combination for the Tigers. Just sayin

The Pac 12 and the SEC are close, especially the Pac 12 South and the SEC West. I've said that previously in this thread, speaking on how tough the schedules are for some of those Pac 12 South teams. Southern Cal has the toughest schedule in the country.
However, the Big Ten is no where near the SEC. Stack the teams up top to bottom and it's not that close.

Vegas would have Penn State favored over every team in the SEC that isn't LSU, Bama and Ole Miss.
And Penn State lost to Temple!
That just shows you the sorry state of the SEC in the eyes of the public.
Last year's OOC bowl schedule really did a number on us.
We should stick to just playing ourselves.

LOL at an A&M starting this thread.
Yall have done jack shite in this division since joining. Nada, jack shite other than upset Bama. You're the team that gets their arse beat at home on the reg and gets hyped on arse hats like Kenny Trill.
You just almost lost and deserved to lose to us, the 2nd shittiest team in the whole conference.
At least we've made a frickin' BCS bowl when the conference was on fricking fire. Something yall couldn't even do with a once in a generation player.
Keep winning your 8-9 games with a top 3 roster talent wise and STFU about what everyone else thinks.
Pussies. This is why everyone, and I mean everyone gives zero fricks and has zero respect for you.

Penn St would definitely be favored over UGA. Your depth of knowledge about CFB is only out done by your expertise on Vegas gambling. Please, go on. I'd like to take notes.

Only teams playing for your CCG and national titles recently and winning their divisions have been spread oriented teams.
Alabama won the West last year. Georgia won the East in 2012 and will likely win it this year. These are spread teams?

Look at Ole Miss. A spread team
Lost to old-man football LSU and Arkie last year, and has never played in the SECCG. Neither has Texas A&M. The only spread-type team to win the SEC West has been Auburn. Despite Mizzou's two SECE titles, they've not come close to winning the SECCG, and Georgia is still the dominant team in that division. Ole Miss and A&M are in position to compete for the SECW title this year, but so are LSU and Alabama. Georgia and Florida are the only likely contenders in the East.

I believe we still have a ways to go and everybody will be playing conference games now so much will change.

When VT lost their QB for the season in the OSU game they were done. Healthy they may be equal to TAMU but going forward they will be lucky to win 6.

Normally Rebs are the cellar dwellers but if they stay healthy I will take them over Penn State 19 out of 20 times for the win.

The lone Illinois loss was a beating by UNC who as you probably already know got beat by the South Carolina you feel can't stop anybody. Once B1G play starts, I expect Illinois to fall off. As for the Cocks, they still have the OBC and they have a new QB who seems capable of getting some wins. In case you missed the Illinois vs UNC game the final score was 14-48 with the Tar Heels scoring the 48. No way these are remotely equal, Gators would roll Illinois worse than the Tar Heels did.

vs 64 Minnesota (3-1) // vs 35 Auburn (2-2) // SEC + 29
I might agree this is a push but only because both should be bad by seasons end and neither becoming bowl eligible.
quote:
vs 65 N Illinois (2-2) // vs 48 Arkansas (1-3) // SEC + 17
By the end of the season I can see Hogs being the better team even if they have a worse record but in the SEC the Hogs will stay home but in the MAC the folks at N IL could be bowl bound.

@ 72 Indiana (4-0) // @ 50 South Carolina (2-2) // SEC + 22
IU barely beat WKU who barely beat Vandy, hence IU = VU. 4-0 looks great now but after 8 games they should be 4-4 and by seasons end they become bowl eligible beating Maryland and Purdue. As a B1G guy do you really think Terps or PU are B1G power football programs.
If I am picking IU and SC playing each other 20 times, I will take SC for 18 or 19 wins. Just look at Hoosier football so far…
Southern Illinois • Bloomington W 48–47
Florida International • Bloomington W 36–22
Western Kentucky • Bloomington W 38–35
Wake Forest • Winston-Salem W 31–24

A lot of teams could withstand the sec. Two big 12 teams who never won shite dropped in and did fine. Right now Texas tech would finish 2nd or 3rd in the east depending on what Florida does.

Oklahoma has never done shite? That is a terrible troll of self pity. What kind of alter are you as no real Sooner fan would dismiss their history so casually.

At least you could say to down on their luck elite teams played a game that went to OT and the one in the B12 beat the one in the SEC. While neither are their former selves, they are about equal now and both should get back up on the horse
As for Texas Tech they are hot right now but beating #14 in a 14 team SEC is nothing to get all excited about. Congrats, but if South Carolina had beaten Kansas nobody on here would have batted and eyebrow. If Texas Tech was that close to Arkansas I would think Vandy has a shot to beat Texas Tech right now.

No shite.
Texas Tech beating our shitty team means nothing. The rest of the division would butt rape them.
Hell if we weren't playing with 8 guys on defense, we would have.

Yawn...
A&M and Mizzou did just fine in the Big 12. Let's not rewrite history and try and use 1990's Mizzou to make a point. We weren't the Texas or OU of the Big 12 but played a similar role there that we play here. Inlcuding beating you guys when you were #1 which we haven't even come close against Alabama in the SEC.

No we haven't been to Atlanta yet but we are undefeated ooc since joining the sec.

Dude I'm talking about MU and aTm. of course OU would be at the top of the east 9 out of 10 years. Dallas proximity, sec patch on the jersey and all those national titles and heismans, money for top coaches it would be game over. OU will most likely end up in the west however in which case they would take a seat next to bama and lsu as perennial contenders for the west.

MU won the north one time is 12 years. Beat OU once in like 20+ years. That being said they did well a few years and deserve some credit. But thr idea that the sec is some unbeatable little club is just laughable

a lot of people in this thread so confident no one could hang with SEC were equally confident SEC would go undefeated last year in bowl season.
