I'm tired of people trying to argue the Big 10/PAC 12 are on our level

Every week it seems the media tries harder and harder to make those conferences measure up to the SEC. This week it's all about the PAC with UCLA and Utah, and there's always the Michigan State/OSU Big 10 worshippers.

There is a difference between a good team that has to play 3 games a year they have any realistic chance of losing and a good team that has to play double that. Look at Ohio State, they play TWO games all year against teams that have any hope of beating them. UCLA plays about 4.

I want to see Ohio State line up and play Bama, LSU, Georgia, State, Ole Miss, A&M, Auburn and Florida all in the same season and see what the frick happens. Not one game that you get a month to prepare for but three solid months of playing 6-8 teams who are consistently recruiting and ranked in the top 25.

I guarantee you not one team from the PAC or Big 10 wins more than 9 games with that schedule and none make the playoff.

Ohio State would destroy some SEC teams dude. Just because they don't face many worthy opponents doesn't mean their coaching staff and team aren't excellent.

Sure they would, but as a whole they would not survive that schedule with a good enough record to make the playoffs.

There are 6-7 SEC teams most years who could win 10+ games in the PAC or Big 10. You have to play teams with talent on your level so rarely.

Which team in the SEC has done this?

Yeah if they were in the SEC they would go 9-3 probably.

Welcome my friend. We've been saying this since about 2006.

There are a number of LSU teams that I firmly believe would have won a title had they been in another conference. 2006 and 2012/13 come to mind.

An 8-10 win SEC team could be an 11 win team in the Big 10.

Not one team in the SEC wins more than three games with that schedule. Two games if Toledo is on the schedule.

Also, drop the "our" shite. A&M has done nothing to contribute to the SEC's aura. Unless you are Alabama, LSU, or Florida, just shut up.

Pre Meyer OSU wasn't the same, though. I'll agree this OSU team in the SEC would be a top contender for a playoff.

How is Ohio State supposed to prove they could survive a SEC schedule? They have 4 OOC games each year, the same as every other school and it's nigh impossible to schedule more than one tough OOC game each year because it's hard enough to get other teams to agree to play you.

Also, didn't Mizzou shite all over this argument when they won the SEC East two years in a row?

I agree. No question Ohio State was the best team at the end of last year, but for the first half of the season or so, they were not very good, getting spanked on their home field by an ACC team that finished with a losing record. But, because of their schedule, they were able to get through that half season with only one loss and were still alive for the playoff when they started to put things together. Play half a season like that in the SEC and you're 2-4 or 3-3 wondering how you're going to get bowl eligible, and you're certainly not talking about making the playoff.

Arkansas is the only possibility. Apparently they have recovered and intend to win nine games this year.

I think OSU & Michigan State would fair well.....USC has the athletes to survive the SEC, just not sure about the coaching...........outside of that, no one else stands a chance......
