She's probably posting on some social media wondering what you're doing.

And I was only 305 electoral votes shy of being elected president in 2016.

Clearly false, but they are better in football and basketball for sure. In football, it's simply a matter of wanting success. They want it, we don't. Or at least the people who make decisions for us don't. At Alabama, an AD or school president who fricked up the football team with backroom politics would be run out of town on a rail. At LSU, not so much. In basketball, it's pretty much the same story for us, but maybe Will Wade represents a change in that trend. Alabama really doesn't care that much about basketeball, but at least they don't have good ole boys actively sabotaging it like we have for the last 20 years.

saban losing to UAB was the outlier because by the time he lost to UAB he had proven he was a good coach.
Really? His tenure at Michigan State was pretty good, but not amazing. He certainly hadn't done anything at LSU yet to prove anything.

re: LSU 65 @ Bama 80 Final - SECN

When Reath looks good, he looks really good, but when he looks bad, he looks worse than anybody on the court. Tonight, he looks the worst I've ever seen him, and that is saying a lot.

If we could shoot 30% from inside of 12 inches, we'd be up by 10.

9 SEC teams will make the NCAA tourney; we’re in 10th place now
That's not how it works. The standings don't matter.

This is not LSU circa 1996 anymore. We’re past that stage
It's not 2011 any more either. We're past that stage, too. 8-4 & 9-3 are not elite results, but they're the best we can hope for in the foreseeable future. This is going to get worse before it gets better. A lot worse. The idea of LSU as an elite program is just flat-out laughable at this point.

Coach O might be a fantastic recruiter
We are still waiting to see this. So far, the results haven't been up to expectations of a "fantastic recruiter". It is 90% of the reason we hired him. If he doesn't absolutely knock it out of the park in recruiting, what on Earth is he good for?
re: If Dantonio is fired, LSU should hire him tomorrow.

Among the categories used to determine a city’s happiness were green spaces, galleries, coffee shops, breweries, music venues and Instagrammable moments.
Additionally, cities were rewarded for their tales of urban renewal, about collaborating to improve their Main Streets and pursuing development policies.
Coffee shops? Who goes on vacation and spends a lot of time sitting in coffee shops? A better question may be "Who DOESN'T?" Amirite?
quote:
SPOKANE, WASHINGTON A high count of record stores, tattoo parlors, vintage clothing boutiques, and coffee shops per capita boosts Washington State’s second largest city to the top of our hipster-friendly and most caffeinated lists for its population category
I know every time I'm planning a vacation, I always want to make sure there are plenty of record stores and tattoo parlors at my destination.
quote:
BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA Black-and-red linoleum floors and vintage swivel chairs summon up the 1920s founding of the historically African-American Webb’s Barber Shop in Louisiana’s capital city. It’s one of an unusually high number of hair salons and grooming spots
Another must for a travel destination: lots of hair salons and barber shops. You know, for when you need to get your hair cut in as many different places as possible while you're on vacation.
quote:
LAKELAND, FLORIDA Frank Lloyd Wright fans flock to this central Florida city to experience more than ten of his buildings gathered at Florida South College, the world’s largest single site of the architect’s work. But Lakeland makes it onto our list for its number of pet stores and dog-friendly restaurants per capita.
Awesome! I hate when I go on vacation somewhere and they don't have enough pet stores.
quote:
COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA With BBQ an essential menu item for South Carolinians, Columbia tops our list for meatiest city per capita in its population group. Locals get their grilled meats buffet-style at Little Pigs Barbecue or stuffed in delectable sandwiches at Southern Belly BBQ’s three locations. But don’t think that they neglect their grooming. Columbia also tops our list in its population group for its number of barber shops and salons.
These authors are REALLY committed to keeping their hair looking good.
quote:
HICKORY, NORTH CAROLINA A thriving 20th-century manufacturing hub for furniture and textiles, Hickory now finds itself heading our list for its hipster-friendly offerings, from tattoo parlors to vintage clothing boutiques.
And getting tattoos and vintage clothing, apparently.
So, if you're looking to go on a trip and you really need to get a lot of tattoos, haircuts, pet supplies, vintage clothes and coffee, this list is a must-read.

You mean he would have made the tackle like he did on the Notre Dame player?

FBI used the controversial "Steele dossier" to obtain a surveillance warrant
In decades of criminal defense practice, I have literally never seen an investigative file that did not contain at least some misstatements of fact or outright false statements or allegations by officers or their sources. When police (or anyone) investigate something, they collect any and all statements and information they can. Some of it, or in some cases most of it, is complete bullshite. It's the investigator's (or prosecutor's or judge's) job to sift through all of it and figure out what is credible and what isn't.
When considering whether to issue a warrant, a judge's job is not to make a judgment of guilt or innocence, but only to consider whether there is enough to justify further investigation (through a search or wiretap or whatever). Fifty bullshite statements and five that may be credible can support issuing that warrant.
The point is that no amount of obviously false information in a request for a warrant can offset even a small amount of information that may be true. The obviously false information is simply ignored and if the information that may be true is enough to warrant further investigation, the warrant should be issued.

So he gets hired for one day as assistant receptionist for the Atlanta Falcons and then the next day he is free to do whatever he wants with no penalty. That Alleva really knows how to drive a hard bargain.

The Jindal appointed BOS still have a majority of votes and will continue to have those votes until June, 2018, when their terms expire. The BOS are to blame for the ridiculous handling of the Miles termination, non termination, termination and The Search undertaken by Alleva.
Jindal hired F. King (over many objections) and also hired Alleva.
Jindal’s disastrous reign still haunts the state.
In a state notoriously known for terrible, corrupt, criminal and ridiculously incompetent governors, Bobby Jindal has absolutely run away with the title of worst governor in the history of the state. That is an accomplishment few could achieve. Early in his career, they said he was a super genius overachiever. They were half right, and in the wrong direction.

Here is a list of teams that scored more points vs Bama in 2011 than LSU did in the national championship game
You forgot to list LSU.
quote:
let’s look at how other teams performed vs that same 2011 Bama team.
The 2003 team lost to Florida 19-7 and didn't score any offensive points in that game. That Florida team lost five games, allowed more offensive points to every opponent it faced and more overall points to every opponent except Florida A&M and San Jose St.
The 2007 team lost to Kentucky and Arkansas, allowing (and scoring) 27 and 28 points, respectively, in regulation. Kentucky lost five games, scored fewer points against South Carolina and Mississippi State and allowed more points in eight of their games. They lost three games by double digits. Arkansas also lost five games, scored fewer points against Auburn, Tennessee and Missouri and allowed more points in six of their games. They lost to Kentucky by two touchdowns at home and were blown out by Tennessee and Missouri.
The 2001 Miami Hurricanes scored only 18 points against Boston College. BC allowed more points to four of its opponents, including Navy.
quote:
I would not even rank the 2011 team as a top 5 LSU team all time
No team would rank in anybody's top 5 or 10 or whatever if it was judged solely by its worst game and compared to the other opponents of whoever it played in that game. Rank the 2017 LSU and Alabama teams solely on their games against Auburn, and we would have finished in the top ten, definitely ahead of Alabama.
The point is that judging a team based solely on one game is almost as stupid as saying the 2011 team wasn't great. Almost. But you covered your bases by doing both.
