His arrogant a-hole personality was on full display

Anything new with him is a full facade. He has it written in his head he's the best player in the world and the results are far from it.

The new man of the people act shows cracks quite frequently and I'm surprised more people haven't picked up on it.

Not someone I root for.

Man I hate to be this guy, but I really don’t understand how you or anyone else for that matter can say stuff like this..

I'm probably fumbling some of the numbers but he went from being one of the last guys on tour in total distance and ball speed off the tee to far above the tour average over the course of the last 4-5 years.

He was also approaching outside of the top 100 in OGWR last year and turned it around to make the Ryder Cup in the same season.

Feel like it's pretty safe to say the dude works his arse off and is one of the least gifted top players.

Just look at the dude in comparison to Rory, Aberg, Scottie, Cam etc.

why

This dude is one of those new covid casual bros that hates any decent golfer that isn't American.

No appreciation for the game or history. Just kick arse Limp Bizkit loud tunes on the course with a cooler full of High Noons and Riggs baby.
He started to get slow and it was making him worse.

That 5 minute 9 iron layup discussion was something.

Still like the dude a lot, he was all class post round. Those losers don’t bother him at all.
I’ve just been lazy this year and will say I’m inspired and stick with the natural program.

Haven’t put anything in my St. Augustine in Dallas and it looks phenomenal already.

Handful of weeds pop up when it rains but can’t see anything after a good mow. They’ll get choked/burnt out later in the summer anyway.

Good thread.
Love how Fitz DGAF and basically just hit a walk off. Even better that he sunk the putt in front of those idiot fans.

Unfortunately the way it’s going be now.

Realize he’s probably a bit longer than Fitz but Fitz absolutely flushed that 4 iron and drew it from 197. Think Scottie needed another club from 187 with that wind.

I’m ordering some of those masters Skechers.

I thought this was an error on ESPNs shitty app.

What a season by Dave and the boys.

Yea, I was there in 2024 and they lost to us at home.

That's pretty rock bottom and it was fun to watch their pissy little fans all over town in the after math.

Atmosphere is awesome there but man that stadium is a dump.

Dude we won a Natty in 25 and won the SEC in 26 with those overrated guys. Poor us.

And lost to a 9 seed middling big 10 team when it mattered as a 1 seed.

The exact definition of overrated.

The qualifications of becoming an actual legit politician these days in kind of laughable.

These days?

Outside of a few generals, enlighten us on what they’ve been the last 50 years-75 years?
Meh, he’s pretty overrated. Can’t shoot and got exposed by Iowa.

Called him and Haugh getting exposed in the tourney all season when Condon couldn’t take steps and hook all game and someone took Haughs right hand away.

Better hope yall get some better guards.
Nvm. Chanticlears.

Shame Daly couldn’t get one for Arkansas.

Both of their brands are worth half a billion plus.
It's completely course and weather dependent.

Rory, Brooks and Blowpig all shot double digit below par in the last 15 years.

Bryson finished -6 and Pinehurst was pretty insane in 2024.

There have been quite a few single digit master's scores in the last 2 decades.

Overall yes, the US Open is typically harder but Augusta is right there beside it most years unless its incredible wet/soft.
Literally the entire top 20 could afford to do what he did. Probably the top 50. None of those guys are "grinding" anymore unless they're brand new.

And if you're brand new, you gotta earn it. Rory has been doing this for 20 years, he's earned some advantage.

I'm not even going to spend the time on it but ya'll have no idea what Tiger's prep was back in the day. I would almost guarantee it was similar or probably more pronounced after his 3rd win in 2002.

And I'm not even a Rory fan. This is just silly honestly.
Homa and Colin collected some very sneaky huge checks.

Good for Homa. He's trending back from the wilderness and gets the auto for next year.
From the current tees its an extremely hard course.

10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17 and 18 would eat most solid golfers alive from a par perspective.

1, 3, 4 and 5 on the front as well. Hell even 6 depending on the pin is an easy bogey even if you hit the green and hold the ball.

TV does not do that place justice.

The last few years outside of this year have also been an exception with all the rain and scoring conditions. It's pretty obvious they worked pretty hard to keep the greens manageable, if they had just let them go, guys would have absolutely imploded this year. Many did anyway. They stayed fairly receptive outside of 13, 15 and 17 it felt like.

The McIlroy shot on 7 last year where he argued with the caddie then went over the trees and stuck it 5 feet I think should be on this list. It was the one where he was laughing at himself after he pulled it off.

2nd shot on 15 was way better and under way more pressure. Especially after that incident on 13.
Money aside I find it really hard to believe Rahm and Bryson are fine watching their legacies evaporate before their eyes and it not getting to them.

It was honestly really silly for both Bryson and Rahm. Both would have made 100M easily on tour.

What is the difference between 100M and 300M with a tarnished legacy?

The tour would be epic right now with Rahm and Bryson at most events.

They'll boot your arse if they catch you. Saw it multiple times last year.

It's literally the best sporting experience there is, nothing comes close. Setting times and places to meet with a group on random spots at the course, being able to set your chair down early and get back to it.

We went Saturday and Sunday last year and kept running into this group of retired Aussies that were there for the whole week and on an epic USA golf tour. Was really, really cool.

It was fine watching from home this year but being there is 1000x better. The amount of action you can catch in the right spots around 13, 15 and 16 green is insane on a Sunday. There's really nothing like it.
