FYI, I updated the OP with:
Therefore the rankings of Teams by Championships they should claim is:
1. Alabama - 10
2. LSU - 3
2. Tennessee - 3
2. Florida - 3
5. Georgia - 2
5. Auburn - 2
7. Ole Miss - 1
7. Arkansas - 1
7. Texas A&M - 1
10. Vandy - 0
10. Miss St - 0
10. Mizzou - 0
10. Kentucky - 0
10. South Carolina - 0
Therefore the rankings of Teams by Championships they should claim is:

Nice troll, but Alabama was named national champions by both polls in 1964.
Arkansas has zero national championships.
Arkansas has zero national championships.

Auburn is not doing this.

I saw an Aggie on a different board stating that A&M has 3 national championships. A poster questioned them, so I went back and looked myself. It appears that of their 3 National Championships they claim:
1919 - 2 out of 15 publications named them the National Champion
1927 - 1 out of 10 publications named them the National Champion
1939 - Seems legit because 12 out of 15 publications named them the National Champion
The problem with 1919 is that there weren't any selectors at that time.
In 1928, there were only 2 selectors - the Dickinson (which selected Illinois) and the Houlgate (which selected Notre Dame) systems.
1939 is indeed legit because they were selected by the AP.

This makes me doubt the rest of your list. Auburn "claims" two NC's.

Auburn claims only 1957 and 2010.

If Alabama can claim pre-AP national championships in 1925 and 1926 then LSU should be able to claim the 1935 basketball national championship which was pre tournament era.

You've got to figure that the 1919 College Football Games had to be pretty salty.
You had a shite ton of WWI vets returning back to school and many were well versed in combat.
I don't have a problem with the 1919. Unbeated and unscored on is pretty impressive. Same could have been said for 1917.
All ancient history, but interesting to look at nonetheless.

That's a bold claim by Florida. Claiming a NT 18000 years in advance. how much will the game have changed by then?

Those two years a&m went unbeaten and unscored upon. I can give a frick about how many places named us national champs

Only giving us credit for 3 is fricking bullshite. I don't agree with all 6 that we claim,1967 is kinda wtf, but I strongly agree with the other 5.

If LSU claimed every National Championship according to computer indeces, national associations, foundation polls, publications, newpapers, periodicals, magazines, AP, UPI, BCS, Dunkel Index, Williamson Poll, Coaches Association polls, etc. then LSU would have 11 National Titles:
1908,1935,1936,1958,1959,1961,1962,1987,2003,2007,and 2011.
But since we don't claim them, we have to settle for a measly 3.......

I think Auburn should claim 3 since there is no 2004 champion and they were undefeated.
