#1 Bo
And that's pretty much it. (I won't mention the outcome of the game out of respect for Bo.)
Plenty in the SWC and Big 12, but that wasn't the question.

Here're three from my undergrad years--early 90s.
We had the Triple Threat of Texas A&M Tailbacks Greg Hill, Rodney Thomas, and Leeland McElroy.
Those were amazing times. One of em always had the ball--and the defense knew it was coming. But they had a hard time stopping em.
Rest in peace, Rodney. Funeral services to be held Friday.

quote:
"The only thing good I can say about them from a defensive perspective is that they can't all carry the ball at the same time," said Joe Wessel, who coaches Notre Dame's linebackers.
But [Aggie OC] Bob Toledo does look for occasions when he can play all of them at the same time, using the powerful Thomas at fullback, the elusive Hill at tailback and the fast McElroy at wide receiver.
"That keeps the alumni happy," Toledo said.

1 - Herschel
2 - Bo
3 - (I'm honoring George Rogers here.)
4 - The kid at Arkansas a few years ago. His name escapes me at the moment.
5 - Tie ... Mark Ingram (game against us @ Bama), Duce Staley (waaay underrated), and the Edwards kid at Georgia maybe in the 90s? Was a converted DB, ended up suffering a horrific knee injury during some NFL best athlete competition if I remember correctly? Robert Edwards was it? I dunno. Kid was an incredible talent.
