Slow offenses vs fast offenses

Who else thinks that the whole Nick Saban and Bret Bulimia concerns about fast paced offenses is a load of shite? They are concerned because it is hard for their big, slow arse teams to defend against.

As long as a plodding, punishing offense can have long drives that eat up the clock, you can eliminate a fast offense tempo advantage.

I'm a fan of power football but I think long drives pounding the ball to control clock would be more of a risk to player safety than a quick tempo offense. I don't really see the argument there

It has to do with not being able to sub for players.
During "long drives pounding the ball to control clock" subs can be made after every play.

Why is Nick so scared about it. I'll tell you why. He saw a team that went on winless SEC streak for two years come in and smack his team around a little. I know we lost but we played for respect and passion. This year we kick them in the nutts.

There's nothing they can do about it... Continue to bitch I guess... Freeze said it best anyway... The best athletes in this league are on the defensive side of the ball... Condition them correctly and teach your scout team the no huddle and you will always be prepared.

UGA played 3 HUNH offenses in 2012.

It is full of shite. Its called the evolution of college football. Fat fricker thinks its not fair. Guess what: deal with it. Its not our fault that your players don't have the conditioning. We don't care about time of possession.
