Nobody said exclusively no huddle, unless we're now changing the criteria after the fact now that someone realizes they were wrong.

Hugh Freeze made good point about D-linemen being more athletic than the O-linemen. So, if the O-line is fine and your D-line is not, you have problems.

So what gets more attention to a desired effect. Player safety or rule change for what he sees as an unfair offensive advantage? This is not new to Saban or Beliema, this tactic is as old as dirt. everyone including you use it to one extent or another to gain leverage in your ability to be successful at your job, gain a raise or whatever is important to you. Is it u safe in one sense sure but so is the game of football, but that gets the rule looks at an attention to what you want. He has planted the seed, now some kid gets hurt from what can be deemed
as exhaustion it gains traction. When in all.likelihood injuries happen. It's just smart business.

Well a fast offense to me would be one that uses no huddle 2/3 of the time. Everyone goes no huddle at end of half and game. And most teams have certain scripted sequences they run no huddle in from time to time. As another said even Alabama goes no huddle from time to time.

And it seems this thread is about player safety concerns (of which I have non with no huddle). I skipped to last page and though we were talking about which offense is preferable. For me is traditional.

Also I think Dline, especially interior Dline is more taxing than oline. Having to fight double teams and the like.

Not saying it is unfair but in a defensive coaches mind I assume he wants to be able to match personnel for persons hence unfair.

So you're saying it is OK to ruin the rules of the game because he is paid millions?

Our offense is going to be much faster this year. Last year Freeze pumped the brakes a lot bc the players didn't yet have as firm a grasp as he wanted.

$10 the refs slow down the game for Alabama's sake. I wouldn't even put it past old Nick to have a player fake an injury against one of the fast teams to help get his point across.

I'm sure year two will ramp it up, I just don't equate the kind of stuff you all are doing with what urbs was doing at UF.

I'm out though.

If your team is such a bunch of pussies that they can't keep up they deserve to lose.

I was surprised that a Coach as respected as Nick Saban would try to make such a chickenshit argument that fast paced football is unsafe.

Every team in the NCAA practices 2 minute offense for the end of games.

Yesh, our tempo will be quicker as well. Thoughts and prayers for Bama. Those poor bastards are coming into town for an afternoon game in September. Field temperature will probably reach 110 or so. It's going to be brutal for them, especially when they can't sub.

We do need one rule change:

You flop, you sit out for the next series.

Ruin? That's your opinion. You must be too young to carry a real job, rules change all th time. And yes he gets paid millions to do what is within the rules to win football games. Same as Freeze.

He is not trying to do anything within the rules. He is trying to change the rules.

Why can't you just admit that he is a douchebag?
