I dont know why Nick is eveninvolved with this issue. His teams seem to be doing just fine against all offenses.

He may actually have player safety concerns (I don't).

Honestly, I think the horse is dead and we continue to beat it. Now, I just wish the media and Nick Saban would realize the same.

I don't know what you mean. Has he said anything other than last year. He may have, i don't pay attention to his interviews that aren't actually about our practice or games and shite.

No I am not arguing semantics. Saying we were smacked around is a really bold claim, considering what team we were playing. When I call that claim out as ridiculous I'm just "arguing semantics?"

Poor logic. Elite teams are always going to trend towards the traditional style, success doesn't breed change, why would it?
Sports are cyclical, the NBA in 80's and 90's were big man dominated, until MJ. Now the league is full of scoring guards.

Innovation in any arena typically comes from youth(age/experience) or the need to drastically improve results.

Defenses will transition, and offenses will have to change again. It's the way it works. Alabama's offense passes the ball way too much to be considered "traditional", unless you were born in 1990.

There won't be much subbing in the A&M game - we just don't do so. Superior conditioning played a huge part in our success last year. Just wait until we have close to the level of talent. Right now, we are getting by on superior coaching.

Our offense will be even better this year. Much better

yes, i've noticed that nick saban's teams really struggle on defense. they seem to be big, slow arse teams. ugly too. hardly any get drafted.

did you justify the use of the "smacked around" language

Okay. I didn't. And? It wasn't my language, nor was I intent on justifying it.

In addition to that though, please, please don't let one season in which you wildly exceeded everyone's expectations make you a delusional fan:

Okay. I haven't, nor do I plan to. Thanks for the advice?

that game was not closer than the score suggests.

Yes it was.

"I don't think people are giving Ole Miss enough credit. They play well. They play hard...Their offense is difficult to defend."

-Nick Saban, 2012 Ole Miss Post Game Press Conference

I realize that Nick speaks that way a lot, but he clearly hates defending the no huddle, hence his condemnation of it.

quote:

If we broke it open during garbage time, you would have a point, but having shitty special teams and turning the ball over aren't two things that are acceptable excuses for a large point difference.

I wasn't offering an "acceptable excuse;" I was offering a reason. Dumbass. And, yes, explaining that your team took advantage of our mistakes is a way to demonstrate how the game was, indeed, closer than the score suggests.

Sure, any buffoon can fire 100 rounds wildly and hit the target a couple of times. I'd rather be efficient.

So you too agree that Nick Saban's no-huddle bitching is nonsense?

UGA played 3 HUNH offenses in 2012.

Ole Miss... UGA won 37-10

Georgia Southern... 45-14

Georgia Tech (finished 4th in the nation in rushing yards with the triple option) 42-10

If fast offenses are superior, then why do they keep losing?

I love how you put two teams whom run the triple option on there. Also, none of those teams are nationally relevant at the FBS scale. Georgia vs Oregon would have been interesting. Oregon actually had a decent defense last season, so the game could be close. I could see Georgia losing too considering how many plays Oregon would run versus that unremarkable rushing defense.
