I just watched a Florida fan have a meltdown

Its like in MacBeth when Lady MacBeth goes psychotic because she cannot deal with the guilt of egging on her husband to kill Banquo.

Lane cannot deal with the guilt of his AD stealing the 2024 Gator Bowl from UF, and it is manifesting itself in what you see at the pressers.

The only was for Lane to atone and balance the carmel is to go to UF as coach

Dude on the left is a major fig. Good on the other host for calling him out. He reminds me of a couple of UF posters on here with how he acts like it would be unimaginable if Kiffen stayed at OM if UF offered.

Seriously why would anyone hire him IF he does indeed go to Florida with what he has going on at Ole Miss? It would be one thing had he not treated Tennessee like he did but Florida is out of its fricking mind to think if he did it to Tennessee and Ole Miss he won't do it to Florida should Alabama or Ohio State or Texas or UGA come calling. I do not hold it against him, it is business and if you ain't looking out for your best interest you are a moron. This is why you do not marry a hooker. It would be exciting and fun but you gotta know when the next swinging dick with a little more money comes along you are going to be set aside like yesterdays news.

How many of the current teams looking for a coach will upgrade? 1, 2? Some may make a parallel move but most are going to wind up worse off than they were with what they had. It is hard to imagine Penn State and LSU both upgrading. They may hire someone just as good or bad, depending on perspective, as the coach they just fired, but at least in LSU's case they are going to spend a small fortune to get the same result, most likely. It is INSANE.


I sincerely think that in the not too distant future these institutions remember why they exist and why they have athletic programs to begin with. Name the biggest football school in the nation...the bluest of blue bloods...the revenue driven by athletics is a drop in the bucket compared to the revenue driven by academics and research...it ain't close...and these sorts of idiotic financial decisions tied to a brand like LSU is a TERRIBLE look. I use LSU as an example but it is applicable to every program in CFB....the institutions reputation is considered when folks are looking for research and academic study....piss poor financial decisions tarnish that reputation with people who aren't jock sniffers. At some point the foolishness has to stop....it is out of control. You have a small group of coaches and their representatives basically running a long con with major academic and research institutions, mostly publicly held institutions, aided and abetted by a small group of jock sniffing donors, in full daylight so the coaches, their agents, and TV networks can make some money. It has been allowed by these academic institutions because it built the brand and made it possible to comply with title 9 and not have to do a lot of thinking about it....but it is becoming abundantly clear that the dam tail is wagging the dog and that is not sustainable.

Ole Miss has a slightly higher total football win percentage over Florida over the last DECADE despite Florida having better recruiting, facilities, money etc .. explain that?
Your looking at Florida during the Spurrier/ Meyer years ..outside of those years.. Florida is an average program not any better than Ole Miss despite all the supposed reasons it's a better program.. actually if all this is true your a worse program because you have all these supposed advantages and still manage to screw it up.
