I would be surprised if you look at the BS we have had to put up with with regards to the NCAA it is ridiculous. go look at our sanctions and probation and bowl ineligiblity due to..taking a recruit to a strip club..it wasn't because he went to a strip club it was because it was in Memphis outside of the recruiting area...by about 10 miles! Meanwhile Alabama and others..ahem..paying recruits like Albert Means get nothing..so yes we are sick of inequality so if we treated more harshly than Bama, Texas and yes even LSU for doing less..why would we worry about consequences when no one else is doing the exact same things..even Kiffin said teams were tampering with players when he was at Ole Miss..he did the same thing at LSu knowing there no consequences...so don't act like Golding is doing something everyone else is not doing except Dabo

I was surprised they hired Silverfield after the results of the last Memphis coaches Fuentes at Va tech, Norvell at FSU, but he has done a good job as far as recruiting we will see what happens on the Field

I felt like there were much better candidates they could have gone after.. Whittingham at Utah, Gary Patterson, Dan Mullins, Art Briles- I know but if they can hire Freeze..why not?..maybe Golesh is hire to just build the base back 6-7 win season consistently and give some good future candidates some time to prove themselves.

I remember Nebraska used to give "leadership"scholarships out like candy before the roster had hard limits so they would have these walk on kids for 4 years just practice running the option and lifting weights then you'd actually have a really good backup or possible a starter by their junior or senior year

It's ok we just signed a defensive end out of Oregon very well liked, as well as, Defensive end from Bama and Linebacker from Georgia Tech we have a very good class for next year if we get Chambliss back definitely a top 5 team
