Auburn is starting to lose talent to the portal...it's another rebuilding year...

I do appreciate what he did, had he not threatened to gut our roster and not let the coaches coach in the playoffs if HE wasn't allowed to coach ...changed his narrative completely. It doesn't change what he did but he could have been upfront and honest I don't fault him for going to LSU, it's the way he did it...we will see what happens with Golding, I'm sure we will probably step back next year. I'm not sure if Austin Simmons stays or goes or who we bring in..I don't think Trinidad gets another year, I think Lacey is probably gone for 2 million to LSU but they better fix their o line..
But now people can see what can be accomplished here when everything is aligned and money is being printed right now in Oxford and you can't beat the publicity we are getting with recruits and portal players..as long as we don't get blown out by Georgia we get a good national recognition and a good chance of landing some great portal players

I heard on Memphis sports radio some guys didn't dress others were in pads but chose not to play..I'm guessing free trip with bowl money and gifts is why they went...what should happen is if you play you get paid by the bowls in addition to nil, if your the game MVP you get extra $ also unless you going into the draft your nil should require you to play or pay $ back

No they are hiring staff to go recruit kids in Louisiana,( even when Miles was there we got some really good kids out of Louisiana)
Lane wants to recruit nationally top players and portal ready players ..I'm not saying he shouldn't obviously but he may not put a priority on a three/ four star kid that could develop into a really good player. Lane is gonna Lane I'm not mad about him leaving I get going to LSU..I didn't like the way he left trying to hold Ole Miss hostage in order to coach the team in the playoffs that's the problem I have with him...
I wouldn't understand if he went to Auburn or even Florida..lucky for LSU, Scott Strickland supposedly put some things in place that Lane didn't want or like..I don't understand picking Florida over LSU yeah your in Florida but I think he wouldn't have had the success he will at LSU and I don't think he would win a national championship at Florida or Auburn despite what their fan base thinks he can definitely win a national championship at LSU in 2-3 years
It's going to be interesting if Michigan QB enters the portal..he will set the market for top $ the Cincinnati QB is going to Texas tech for 4 million I'm thinking the Michigan QB will get 6 or more ..Coaches have a time limit at every school except Utah and Iowa.

At the end of last year he looked great ... Just like LSU QB... I don't understand what happened.. maybe he pressed too much or they tried to add in more offensive plays that didn't suit his game

I think like Lanorris Sellers you have to adjust the offense to his strengths and give more short throws and QB read option... the talent is there..you just have to fix the decision making & forced throws that result in interceptions

I remember LSU in the 80's and 90's always referred to a "sleeping giant" Bama has been a powerhouse since Bryant, granted a few off years here and there..then the dynasty under Saban. NIL may change that...I saw LSU's Nike deal...that will get some 5* nationwide player.. especially at QB...or a top transfer can't miss portal player
