re: Why hasn’t Kiffin signed the extension?
Posted by Tropicofcapricorn on 11/11/25 at 1:54 pm to REBEL5 AC
I heard Auburn sent him a holiday fruit basket with a card that said "hey..um we were just thinking about you..not try to start anything but ..you know um..if you need anything you can call us..you have our number right?

Nobody that is a legitimate good coach is taking that UCLA job,
the stands are empty and they have 0 commitment to football from a university, administrative, and NIL standpoint.
Kiffin would never go to PSU not a cultural fit and he hates cold weather.

re: Lane Kiffin has warning for Ole Miss amid Florida rumors-Ole Miss fans please read this.

Ole Miss ranks seventh nationally and second in the SEC to Oklahoma in attendance percentage of capacity, filling its on-campus venue to almost 104 percent of official capacity in 2025. Oregon, SMSU, Kansas State and Oklahoma are the Power Four programs ahead of Ole Miss.
Attendance percentage: The team fills its stadium with an average of 103.96% capacity. So yes more things I'm not worried about ..he's ingrained at Ole Miss ..his spouse moved from California to Ole Miss ( I know she went to Florida doesn't mean she wants to live there) daughter is a junior at Ole Miss, son is start QB at Oxford high School) they ain't leaving he's got millions so money isn't the issue Florida will be both open again in 3 years. Take out Spurrier and Meyer years it's an average program ...unrealistic expectations..if it's about National championships..he'd go to LSU.. Orgeron and Miles won national championship ain't nobody lining up to hire them so it must be much easier to win there if he ain't going to LSU he sure isn't going to a Florida school that can't even come up with NIL money for a QB...

Not unless you have a legendary coach at UF that's why you are so average outside of those years..LSU won National championships with Orgeron and Miles...big difference if Kiffin wants to win multiple championships he's going to LSU..besides he can stay at Ole Miss for the next 3 years the Florida job will come open again by then

Um Ole Miss is going to make the playoffs this year...and Kiffin even said this was a rebuilding year for them..how many coaches not named Spurrier and Meyer have won big at Florida? You know because of all the talent, facilities etc ..LSU has won with 3 NC 's with 3 different coaches..and I don't think anyone thinks Les Miles or Orgeron are at the same level as Spurrier or Meyer ..or maybe like Auburn..your just not as good as you think you are...if he wanted titles UF ain't it... NIL has changed everything

Yes and all it took were 2 legendary coaches to win National championships, everyone else average results at best even with all those things mentioned above..hmmmmm

Well ...what I read in an article was Texas was paying walk on offensive lineman 50k a year if they made the team, now that not some kid that just tried out ...that was for someone they thought could possibly develop

Not so fast my friend..look at Memphis track record of coaches who left..FUENTES, NORVELL...OOF
Memphis was a potential playoff team.. that's about to go south

What a lot of people forget Kiffin said this was a rebuilding year, it was just a fluke injury to Simmons and Chambliss played lights out the team has gotten better I didn't think this was a playoff team just maybe 7-8 wins..but LSU and Texas thought they has NC aspirations...you never know
Texas Tech billionaire and NIL... interesting read

It's funny when commissioners are quoted "he doesn't understand the business of football", mkay a billionaire, former college football player, heavy donor I think he does..he's exactly what these administrations are afraid of

Well they were desperate enough to hire Freeze..why not continue the"Redemption tour" hire Art Briles....it wouldn't shock me
re: If Kiffin stays in Oxford, it is a very telling statement on the current state of CFB.

I read that supposedly Sark wants out of Texas and go to the NFL, because of NIL is frustrating for him, supposedly he is being pressured to play Manning due to all the financial investments made, I don't understand why he doesn't change the offense to fit Mannings strengths like more read option but then again I also heard / believe Texas does not have elite units on offense; the o line is average at best, no great running back no great wide receiver don't understand if they are just recruiting based on stars vs real evaluations, Texas A&M seems to have done a much better job obviously, So maybe with all the unrealistic expectations and 3 year window to win at a high level or be fired..maybe he does stay..
re: #1 Reason Kiffin to LSU is More Likely Than Kiffin to Florida
Posted by Tropicofcapricorn on 10/27/25 at 9:35 am to Tarpon08
I never thought he would go to Florida but LSU..is a different job, he could win multiple National championships and have consistent top 10 defense every year
re: Where are all these coaches going to
Posted by Tropicofcapricorn on 10/26/25 at 9:38 pm to Landmass
I wouldn't touch Silverfield, Memphis Coaches have not fared well, Fuentes at Va tech and Norvell at FSU, Golesh I still haven't seen enough to convince me, I'd take Brohm, Joey Mcguire from Texas tech, Tim Beck and Jerry Kill at Vandy as a package deal..would be my number 1 choice those guys can coach
re: Besides possibly Lane, what legitimate coaching candidates are there for these good jobs?
Posted by Tropicofcapricorn on 10/26/25 at 9:29 pm to armtackledawg
I'm surprised Joey Mcguire of Texas Tech hasn't been mentioned good coach, had the # 1 Portal class this year has had proven success building Tech has beaten OU and Texas.

Moffitt can fix him..
re: Ms St fans.... Don't be stupid. Too much ignorance I am seeing

That doesn't exist in the SEC, especially when people see Vandy is ranked in the top 10

No they are not.. LSU has recent national championships and has been a consistent top program with different coaches until BK and not the greatest coaches either..it took generational coaching from Spurrier and Meyer to win a national championship at Florida outside those years Florida is pretty meh, LSU has no competition for in state talent which is as good or better than Florida. I do not know how LSu pays BK and staff off and tries to hire? Kiffen?
