Week 5 ended our 3 week losing streak.

The good news, only 35 days to the start of college basketball.

Didn’t flawda lose a lot of talent on last year’s title team?

Offense:
QB: A/B TC is very solid but I worry his lack of ability to throw the deep ball will hurt us. Simmons can elite level arm talent but doesn't have the experience. I feel good about both.
RB: A- Lacy is something we didn't have last year. 1 yard runs turn into 4. Breakaway ability in the open field.
WR: A- Sneaky good WR room. 6 deep and all can play.
OL: B cobbled together but getting better every week. Only 2 pressures on TC Saturday against the 85 bears.

Defense:
DL: B+ Has some NFL players but not much depth. Harris and Perkins are really good. Echols has his moments. Needs some young guys to provide depth.
LB: B+ Dottery is an All SEC type LB. It falls off a decent bit after him.
DB: B Group that has improved dramatically since halftime of Arkansas. Played well against a bad offense. Need them to keep improving.

I’m just glad there were no arrests report on OU players during their bye week.

Honest assessment? This Auburn team has plenty of talent but is a quarterback and a competent coaching staff away from winning anything of note.

Supposed to be a rebuild year for Ole Miss. Now they're playing with house money.

Well, prior to the season, I thought we would begin 3-1. We did that, but not how I expected. Vandy scares me to death. I'm not sure Bama can come close to stopping their run game and I expect the "time of possession" metric to be huge in Vandy's favor. I just don't like this match up.

Alabama has the talent to make the playoffs and compete for a SEC championship and national championship.

All the LSU and Auburn fans that predicted Ty Simpson would be a bum have disappeared.

If Alabama can manage to maintain their focus and not overlook anyone or just expect to win by showing up they will be a playoff team.

If they can’t maintain their focus every week they won’t.

Hoping this car doesn't crash in WAOM fashion.

Our defense will keep us in games. Arch needs to merely be average against everyone but Georgia to have a shot at Atlanta. Can he do that? Uh, we’ll see.
