re: Texas Tech 2026 schedule

They might have a much easier path to the playoffs but they won’t be battle tested and it’ll bite them in the arse. Ie: getting shut out by a mediocre Oregon that eventually got taken to the woodshed by Indiana.
OU is the prime example prior joining the SEC. Easy path to playoffs only to get spanked.

Yep. I liked him at first but then I realized he tries to appease every fanbase whether their teams are good or bad.

I'm sure Alabama and Auburn are a lot like Oklahoma. There are people in Oklahoma like the Loves and Harold Hamm and George Kaiser who support OU. All of them have way more money than Cody Campbell... But they won't dump their money into things that aren't tax deductible. This far they have stayed out of the NIL game. Former OU center and now talking head Gabe Ikard is married into the Loves family and they won't even buy him an offensive line at OU.
The point is Cody Campbell was talking about Alabama and Auburn.

This won't be an overnight change. It will take 3 - 5 years. But, the declline has begun. Cody is correct. Schools like Alabama, Auburn and Oklahoma don't have the resources to sustain their programs at a competitive level in this era. We will likely need to see a tiered system, with schools like Alabama and Oklahoma playing their financial peers with lesser players. It isn't fair to have them competing against well-funded schools in the long term.
Cody Campbell didn’t say anything about Oklahoma. Last I checked, Bama and OU made the playoffs just fine. Texass didn’t despite spending 30-40 millions on their roster last year.

Makes we want to throw up saying it, but Texas. It’ll be shocking how much they spend over the next few years to get it done.
Didn’t they spend 30-40 millions on their roster last year? Still couldn’t hack it.
Indiana if they weren’t in B1G. So Miami - anything that helps hurts recruiting for UF and FSU.

Doubtful. He won’t have to put much effort in recruiting when he has Mark Cuban bankrolling the roster. All he gotta do is just coach.
re: YES...2025 Indiana is a better team than 2019 LSU

I thought about this, and honestly don’t think so. That LSU team was built different on both sides of the ball. This IU team is exceptional and while they may be close with results. I don’t think they are ad talented overall.
Watching Indiana play last night. They definitely played as one. They gelled and played disciplined. Haven’t seen such a clean, well oiled team like them in a long time. Not to mention how much bigger they were compared to Oregon players.

Indiana is Mark Cuban’s little experiment. I’d rather Miami win than Indiana.
Same. Mark Cuban publicly announced he was bankrolling 2026 portal transfers for Indiana. Apparently, Indiana is just good at plucking right players from the portal compared to others like FSU.
Go Canes!

Just glad OU lost round 1. Indiana would’ve embarrassed us.

We’re not paying that much for a receiver. He wouldn’t want to play with Mateer anyway.

Weird thread. Why were you concerned about OU fans on Christmas night? You all alone in your mom’s basement or something?

Why can’t he take Ozempic or something similar? I noticed his face gets red at times - drinking problem?

Wait.... We had more yards and first downs than Alabama did. By rule......we are the better team and beat ourselves.
It’s funny you say that because in the last game, OU deserved to lose despite Bama’s stats but as soon the table turns, it doesn’t matter. However…
I think we all can agree OU definitely overachieved this season and I’m cool with that. Would’ve been nice to beat Bama again and maybe go toe to toe with Indiana. We were definitely not winning it all with our putrid offense. Not this year. Nope.
