Huge opening game win. We’re optimistic about the season. We’re having fun. Bama sucks. We’re all rejoicing instead of fighting.

Things are good!

Bama and Texas being absolute shite today while we sit here 1-0 after a P5 away win?

Feels good man.

Can't remember a weekend like this in awhile Even when we won and Bama lost they still had Saban. Now they have the Washington Coach.

Gus earned his buyout, and yes, Bama actually sucks. That coach gives two shits about that Bama culture. They may not have a winning season.

would like for UGa to have lost but i knew that was highly unlikely

otherwise a great football weekend

It’s been a long time since I went in to the game excited and left it feeling pumped up. The cherry on top was Saturday was perfect too.

My other Alma mater, the red headed stepchild I hide in the basement, UAB, got a win but gave up an avalanche of points to Alabama St. Might be the only game they win.

Trent Dilfer is the worst college football coach in America and it’s not close.

Church was packed this morning. Pastor made a point about half of the church being depressed. Considering we have a defensive lineman for Auburn that was Baptized this summer. There is a lot of support at the church. First time I laughed at a Baptism, I cautioned “next time you dunk a football player, make sure you can dunk him Backwards then pull him back up. Last thing we need is to call Auburn and tell the coaches we drowned a commitment. Pastor had trouble pulling him back up. Big kid.

Off topic, but that reminds me of something that happened at our church maybe 10 years ago.

Older gentleman (late 70s, maybe 80s) has lost his wife a year or so prior. He was feeling his own mortality and decided to get (re)Baptized. Preacher takes him into the pool and goes to dunk him back and the poor old man locks up stiff. Preacher tries again, he locks up again. One of the decons shouts "take him forward!" So he does, and it works.
