We aren’t very physical and we stand around and watch and don’t block out. Poorly coached on defense. Dudes need to be benched if they aren’t going to try
We get to the FT line a lot but we suck at free throws.

We just need a winner. Someone that only cares about doing what it takes to win. Freeze had a rebuild approach which worked but he didn’t translate it into wins so it was useless. We have playoff level talent on the roster.

Nah Grade 3 is about 4wks for someone in his shape. Also depends which tendon. Plus I doubt it was grade3 as that is a complete tear and sometimes requires surgery. He’s likely grade 2 max.
This team is good.

Some people (fans, admin, coaches etc) still think this is the old way of CFB. It’s not the old way, it’s way closer to the NFL. If you keep recruiting and paying kids because of their ‘stars’ and ‘hype’ you’ll end up like the Cowboys. If you go after talent that fits what you need on and off the field, you will win. Prioritize QBs that are leaders and coaches that can out scheme and teach/develop the competition. It is the way….
Would be 100+ if we could
If you can score 95 every game you aren’t losing many…

To be fair the defender wasn’t looking at him when he threw it, it was just so long of a pass, the guy made a good play with late break.
Play calling has been good. I wonder if Nix is just using the headset to QB comms better. I don’t think Freeze leveraged them much. Daniels is getting rid of it and is handling the heavy pressure plays well. Oline- not sure yet. Need to be able to establish read - option for complete domination
Creative play calling can make all the difference, not just the QB. Never know how much Freeze was holding them back. We about find out….

Anybody can call plays. Come up with your favorite 15 (really 30 because you can go either side). And keep running the ones that work. Mix in some randoms, but keep going back to what works.

Mullen = no thanks. Need young and x and o guy. Someone that can actually coach. We can get the players. The campus and NIL$ money takes care of that
Nah he was ready to quit. And he may have accepted a reduce buy out

Who coaches offense now
We should go after Gruden. He wants to get back in coaching and says he likes Auburn. He wouldn’t be cheap though.
Be more specific, trash offense. That AU defense is every offense worst nightmare. You won’t score many points and you’ll need refs to gift you some bs PI, roughing or targeting calls.
Tubberville left Ole Miss for AU. Lane would have if not for his daughter pulling the old family trick (beat us at our own game). Not sure we’re ‘better’ but probably.

They looked identical to me. I thought Daniels had the stronger arm and tended to prefer handing off instead of keeping it every time like Arnold does. I would prefer he start Daniels and put Arnold in to ‘save’ the day. Might boost his confidence.
The problem with Freeze has been the horrible play calling and lack of a plan on how to get the ball to the teams playmakers on offense. Too many designed runs with the QB is lazy play calling. Jackson Arnold was typically leading the team in carries. The offensive play Saturday was not good enough to win without the defense taking over the game. I don’t know how that gets addressed with Freeze around but the defensive coaching is miles ahead of the offense. The defense shut A/M down on the road and Petrino had no answer. That staff built a champion. The O staff hasn’t built shite.
