Man I'll say this as kind and respectful as I can because he helped us make a final four run....... CBM screwed himself and know he has to deal with the consequences. You had over a million on the table but you chose to watch another man's pockets and get jealous. You're a 26 year old man not a 17-18 year old boy. Auburn out here teaching life lessons and I'm glad to hear it.
Also most 5 star receivers barley make a strong a impact as a freshman. Aj Green, Julio, Jeremiah Smith, and like 5-6 others are unicorns. The offense and his experience level hurt him bad, and he STILL had right at 600 yds and 8TDs as a true freshman. Come on
I'm more talking about how our fanbase acts about losing talent or not getting players in recruiting brother. Not just trying to direct things at one person. I thought we behaved like this because we almost never beat Bama for players under Saban, but it agitates me that I still see people go in about guys who didn't stay when it's just a part of the process. I remember some folks acting like WW was some enormous loss when I just believe it's a part of us getting better and closing on elite guys(Duece Knight)
There were people on this board who argued that Tre was better than Pettiford or Denver just because of consistency. Every time we lose ANYONE there's a segment of our fanbase who talk as if we'll never recover because of the recent failure we've experienced. The shocking part was I never thought people would do that bullshite in Bball. We've made the greatest run in program history, but folks just started pumping that bullshite just like with Football. The only difference is I completely understand why they have a negative energy when it comes to our Football but basketball? I'm telling you even if we make the final 4 dudes will NOT shut up about WW if he's decent.
It won't end when we start winning. Remember tre Donaldson this year? I saw people acting like we screwed up big time for losing him even though we spent 8 weeks at No. 1 and we were always better than the team he went to. After that I'm convinced this is just a part of our fanbase. Ignore the 5* we signed and blubber and on about who we "missed" or lost.
He wants to start, that wasn't going to happen here. Hope the money was good
I don't get why everyone is so hard up for Walker White on this board. Shouldn't we be happy we don't have to play a great QB game 1? From almost EVERY insider and person in the know that we trust, Walker was super talented, but NOT close to ready. Just look at how the coaching staff talks about knight in comparison to White. I'm not saying he's not gifted, or a future NFL player, but he was another 2 years away guys. Our fanbase has a terrible habit of celebrating and mourning players that left or we couldn't land. I thought this would end when we started landing the name guys, but I guess we'll never change.

Arnold has also had better control of the offense throughout from what I've heard, BUT I will say this though...... If Duece Knight is just a few steps behind as a TRUE FRESHMAN I open up the competition. I know you paid Arnold, and I know it's not a live game situation, but just handing a guy the job was ONE of the many issues with Thorne. Let this be a real competition dude. I don't care about a QB controversy. I only care about getting the best players on the field. No I'm not in the bunch that felt like we had a better option than Thorne, but I believe handing him the job while he underperformed in camp DID NOT help us.

I remember him signing all these 3* star players and people pumping it like he was hitting home runs because we had all these commitments lol now we have classes full of 4* and some 5* guys. Hope the results show up for the first time this year

Would you prefer we secured like 7-10 3* like the Tony Franklin era?
Yeah at 6'1 he's probably not going higher than late first. If Auburn isn't willing to get him comparable cash then he should leave and start to develop at a pro level. If he gets a second round grade then he should stay.
Step away from your keyboard or put your phone down
Are you crazy? 500 in the SEC? Bro we are not gonna fall that far. RIGHT NOW we have work to do but WE WILL get some guys. There are quite a few big guys available for us to be a sweet 16 team again next year.
Eh there are other good options but we are 1 for 3 right now. Remember guys it's not about winning for these guys. We still landed our top target (Hall)

In the Tony Barbee era I would have killed for this. I think Bruce has another final 4 run in him before it's over and next time we'll finish

Tubbs passed on him as a QB BUT Bama passed on him completely yet we take the most heat. I believe Tommy wanted him to play another position so he went to NC State. Remember both schools had super talented young QBs at the time (Jason and Brodie) We also skipped on Jamarcus Russell because of Jason. In the end we had the undefeated season that Jamarcus and Rivers never had. Russell was a bust, Rivers is headed to Canton, and Jason was a solid nearly 10 year veteran. Hope we can sign his son.

He's definitely getting a bump in my opinion. In the Gus era this guy would have gone to Mizzou or Ole Miss. Lol Good pickup

Have you considered the fact that maybe Sam Turner is a future superstar? I have heard mostly positive things about Perry, but I think we have the wrong mentality based on past trauma. Turner is the more natural receiver and it's not close. That's not an attack on Perry, but I think he's more of a 3rd-4th year success guy. (In my opinion) our talent might be progressing to a point where the 1A guy is just amazing NOT the best of a bunch of duds like in years past.
