Silence is deafening thread title got me cracking up
Chaplin was this years Percy Lewis. Much more talented but absolutely terrible in terms of discipline. I'm not crying about this
Sumrall inherited a 11 win roster. Alex inherited a 1 win roster. One guy built form nothing, the other just didn't screw up the momentum. I'll take Golesh.
Guess they decided to pick Reddick over him..... or at least that's how I'm choosing to view this.
it's takes both. You need recruiting AND development. If you sign a class of 3* players in an elite conference like the SEC you'll (more times than not) fail. Texas A&M has as many 5* as anyone, but they scored 3 points today lol You cannot 3 star your way to a title and you can't just 5* star your way to a championship (without coaching). We all get this right?

Don't fool yourself with a 3* fantasy. Indiana is a VERY rare exception not the rule. Their coaches are just elite at player development while ours chose to golf and frick off his day after a year and a half. Plus they'll go right back to 8-5 when their Heisman winner is gone. Georgia and Ohio St show up Over and Over because they have both. Development AND high level talent.
Jay Crawford is a talent, but If we feel like we can get better then let's explore that. Let's treat it like a business just like they have

Freeze grinded tape and identified talent too.... he just couldn't develop or get the best out of it. Look.... this OL gets high marks because of the offer list, but we have yet to see if this Alex can recruit AND develop elite talent. YOU CANNOT build a roster with a bunch of 3* guys and you can't sign a bunch of 5*(Freeze) but let them get away with murder and rarely put them in positions to win.

Was a Michigan commit dude. Clearly he's a talent
Bama is also closing in on a State of collapse so hope he has fun. For the record Malcolm is the only guy we've lost that disappointed me. The Auburn live guys mentioned how close DeAndre was to the old staff last week and even hinted that he would leave. I know we'll replace the numbers and HOPEFULLY this new offensive staff can develop players.
DeAndre was like 365 pounds and barley played. I'm almost certain he was a budget cut based on lack of performance.

Next year this time he'll (PROBABLY)be looking for a new job.... However If he takes the Michigan job they'd be HAPPY to have him considering the situation. He'd have to be blind or stupid to not see the developing storm of Bama fans who are tired of going 9-4. He ain't winning a National Championship there anytime soon, and that fanbase won't stand for it. The smartest play would be to get ahead while you still have the power to do so.
They said they have a 30 million dollar war chest. Time for us to show and prove. They certainly didn't use a damn thing on Highschool recruiting. No Jase and No Warmack. Don't understand how we can watch the iron bowl and not give Simmons a bump. Anyway we should have TONS of cash for the players we wanna keep. NO EXCUSES ON Jan 2
KeAndre Lambert-Smith Scored his first TD today! 16yd strike to keep the Chargers in the game. Was really worried about him because he only had 1 reception all of this season. Hopefully he gets targeted more now.
Man..... from living in the comfort of knowing you have arguably the greatest coach ever stalking the sidelines... to trolling a 5-7 Auburn program and wondering if Michigan will take your coach after you get beat by Oklahoma. I'm here for you bro

Crawford was selected to the Senior bowl. That's a GREAT indicator that he'll get drafted. Plus I have a feeling he'll blow up the combine
I'm so pissed that I can't myself to disagree with this. The last three years have ruined me.
Our problem has been QB for the past 5 years(not counting Bo). Brown isn't some random transfer..... he's OUR coaches QB. He know every call, check, and intricate detail of what the other QBs would have to learn. I'm no professional talent evaluator but that Dude looks like a Dude. I can't blame ANY Auburn fan for being a pessimist at this point though
