Out. SEC on ESPN/ABC is a much better product.

I vote for ESPN but with the CBS music intro.
And Ron Franklin.

I miss the song and Verne/Gary.
Brad Nessler was a major downgrade.

Not even a little bit. Screw all the networks.

Miss Vern and Danielson? Are you drunk? No fricking way. Vern didn’t know players names and Danielson would get stuck on some stupid call or play and harp on it for half of the quarter. Franklin and Gottfried were my guys.

I met Uncle Vern at the Waysider once, nicest gent you'd ever want to meet, so I'm probably the only person here who liked him.

In all honesty, I like the ABC deal far more than the one we had with CBS. I mean, an intro song isn't enough for me to hold on to CBS. What we had last year was full days of great games, where the seasons prior had a big block on mid-afternoon games, so we had to either watch only the CBS game during that time or watch some other conference. Now we have a game on ABC while another starts shortly after on ESPN and the SECN.
So, aside from picture quality, everything about this deal is better than what we had with CBS. They chose to pay the B1G more than what we asked for and their ratings are now WAY DOWN. So... frick 'em.

Ron Franklin in his prime was amazing.
At one point he was the play by play announcer for both football and basketball for Texas. Just amazing at his craft. That was before so many games were on television, so I listened to him a bunch.

It's good and all but the selection of games and the money is far better now. That CBS deal had us stepping on our own dicks.
